I'm always embarrassed to post so many cards for this challenge. I don't want to be a show-off. But once the ideas start coming they piggy-back on each other and I can never decide which one to do. So I do them all if I have time. Which is another reason I usually just do one or two challenges a week, because after I have all these ideas I'm just not good for getting any work done. Gotta work sometime!

I agree with what Melody said. That is one reason I love this challenge because the variety is fantastic and we're all piggy-backing off of one piece.
I had to post this because I almost died laughing last night! The card I made for this challenge is going to my MIL who is in the hospital. So I told DH that I made MIL a card and asked if he wanted to see it. He gets this odd look on his face and says the typical "it's very nice". So I tell him it was from the challenge and inspirde by the rug. He gets this relieved look on his face and said that is good because it looks like a door mat!
This is the first time I am participating in a challenge. I think I am hooked. I started making the card at 11pm Saturday but did not finish until 1:30am Sunday. I was watching TV at the same time. I wanted to observe the No uploan on Sunday policy and waited until now to upload. Hope it is not to late. I am having difficulty attaching the link to Touch of Nature to show the card. Any tips?
Well, here's my take on the challenge. I call it Inspiration Rug.

Joyclynn, I have to ask - did your MIL like the door mat? That's funnny!
Thanks for asking Rox! That was really sweet. She lives pretty far away so I mailed it off to her. She should get it today or tomorrow. I am sure she will love it. She always talks about how pretty and how creative they are when I send her cards. Besides it isn't likely she will hear that story.
So now I am curious.... How many of you make cards or card fronts and keep them... how many of you use these great creations you create on the challenges?
I make mine on both. Sometimes I use just a front sometimes a card. But they always get mounted onto a card and used. All my cards are put into a box which has them sorted according to occassion. I even have one labeled, 'blank'. That way I can customize a card for the occassion. Thanks for asking.

I keep a few that were more time to create or that I just can't part with like the spring church card that got a over a 100 comments, I mean that's like having a trophy in gold! Most of my keepers are scenery cards or major cut out work.
What I make goes on display until the ladies I teach cards to can see them and maybe take home to do a copy. Then into either the soldiers box to send back home or Keiki. I send out the Keiki birthday cards so I have a box for those too. So all of mine get put to use.

I send out a lot of my cards. Of course, there are some that are really hard to part with, so I tend to hang on to them at least for awhile, until I have someone special that I want to send to. I make full cards, because my intention is to use them. I really need to stop hoarding... :-D
