Inspiration Challenge 186 ~ the charm school dropout
This weeks inspiration challenge comes from the fabulous designs of Sarah Collier, also known as the charm school dropout. I love her amazing combinations of vintage, text, and digital elements that produce a wonderful collage effect.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I have uploaded three of my favorites so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration.
For the rest of you, feel free to use anything from Sarahs designs for your inspiration. Just remember to link us to the room or item that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC186 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
What an awesome site - Stef!!! Unfortunately I'm not that good with vinatage creations, but I hope you still like what I've come up with - LOL!!! Thank you for inspiring once again - I was looking forward to it Hugs ~S~
Thanks for the stretch, sStef. I'm gonna work on this tomorrow! I don't guarantee the results will be presentable but I'll have fun trying!

Thanks SCSers for all your encouragement!
That stuff is SO not my style, and I just did a gesso resist with a magazine page last week - but I think I've found something I can work with and have fun - thanks, Stef.
Way out of my comfort zone but will play later today Stef. Thanks for stretching me!

Wow - it's hard to pick one of the many art collages in her gallery, so what I did was look through her entire website, esty and all, and then go make a collage card. I usually do these in the wee hours of the night but last night I had a wonderful emergency call from our daughter who was sick and exhausted and needed someone to just help 2 week old Olivia Lou get thru the night so she could get some sleep,,,,,precious to finally be close enough to one of our grand children to help in this way....challenge had to wait!! What wonderful artwork to draw inspiration from!! There was one with 2 butterflies and a lady.....and then there were some with an african flair, so I just came up with this, here is my card:
I think if I had it to do over again I would have made the butterfly red and orange to stand out more against the yellow.....but too late to go another round!! Too many OTHER things to do today!! Hope you like it!
