When is the one in Milwaukee?? Is there a thread for it?
You make one card up completely as your sample. Usually with a Shoe Box Swap you make kits (baggie with all the paper and embellishment components for your card for the number of participants that will be making the card, and Complete cards for the number of participants that will just take your completed card. All this is put into a box, along with the stamps, ink pads, punches, scissors, special glue, scissors, stamp cleaning pad or baby wipes, etc. that will be required to complete the card. A few weeks before the event you'll find out how many complete and how many kits you will need.
For yourself, bring a pair of scissors and your favorite adhesive to put the cards together with.
When you arrive, you are given a station to set up your Shoe Box at. When everyone is set up you pick a spot of a card you need to make and put it together. When done with that one, you move to another one that you have to make, until you have made all the cards you are supposed to make. Before, during or after, you can go and collect one completed card from each of the stations that you aren't supposed to make the card.
During all this, you visit, eat, and have fun.
Also be sure that your project matches the criteria the hostess has in Post #1.
It's really not as difficult as it sounds, and we'll help with your questions. After you attend your first one, you'll figure everything out.
Hope to see you at the event.

Thanks for your ?s. I always feel if one person has a ? then others probably do too. Markers, chalks, ink, etc. anything used to "decorate" the card is supplied by the person that "owns" the card. Robyn did a great job explaining so thank you very much Robyn. If you have any more ?s please ask. We want all particpants or interested peeps feel welcome and not scared to participate.
Time is really going fast so I hope those of you interested in coming are getting excited. Anyone that is interested in coming, I hope you are filling out your registration forms as we speak lol. Awesome! Can't wait to have fun. Wow, your idea already. You're way ahead of me lol. Someday I won't wait until the night before lol. I hope you friend can come but if not I totally understand. I wish I could attend some of the "curds" outings but when you work 2 jobs things don't always work out. As far as the lottery, it is a WOW item that you make or alter. Some examples are paint cans, boxes, frames, or anything that you might give as a gift to someone. It can also be a group of things in a basket. I have seen so many different items and maybe some1 else in this thread can give some better ideas. This item or group of items should be a min. of $10. You supplie an item you get one in return. Just like an exchange. Any more ? let me know.
Sending in registrations for my friend and me today! I have another who might come too. We're leaving from Brookfield and will probably have room in the van if anyone wants to carpool...
Yes there is gonna be a rummage for anyone interested in participating just bring the items marked with your name or initials so people can locate you when they are interestes in a purchase.
The check in my name is fine. I live at the address but we live 2 houses away from each other so it would get to either 1 of us since our postman knows us and family. Thanks for keeping us posted and I will let you know when I receive your reg.
