Michele, please explain how the swapping will actually work. Will group 1 go first, then group 2, etc. and group 6 would have to wait until all other groups have swapped? Many groups have the same stampers so it could get confusing. Is 1/2 hour enough time? Do we need to have group name tags to identify who we are, as there will be others doing convention style swapping. I know, lots of ???????????????, but this could get crazy.

We will swaps as groups. Group 1 goes first, then 2, then 3, etc. We will meet in a designated spot slightly aways from the other swappers.
There will be a small table or some thing there to help us out. Here's how it will go...
Everyone in group 1 will lay their swaps on the table. Then each member in group 1 will go around and pick up one swap. Takes 2 minutes tops. Then group 2 will go and do the same thing. Then 3, etc.
It will work just fine as long as everyone is there on time. I will have a list of who is in what group. We are supposed to end about 15 mins before registration, so that gives us a little bit of fluff time.
Thanks for coordinating this swap. Please sign me up for group 6 and if you open another group, I would like to be added to that group also.
Thanks
Hi Charlotte! I've got you down for Group #6. 6 is a lot of groups to manage in the short time we have, so I don't think I am going to add more groups. Thanks for joining!
WOW! All 6 groups filled up in just over 24 hrs! Now we have to wait patiently for April 19th! lol Please keep subscribed to this thread in the meantime. I'll be posting once and awhile to keep this swap in your thoughts. Thanks to all of you for signing up!
Michelle,
Do you know if there will still be convention style swapping too? Where I can just bring cards to swap with anyone that has cards too? And if so, is it full cards or just card fronts?
Thanks for any insight. I was told to post on this thread and not the SCSM5 thread.
i just saw this message! my mom & i were in an accident 2 weeks ago &
I have not been keeping up. If you decide to open more swaps, please put me down for one or two. It was so nice to meet you at regional. tandra is right!
you are nice. jhone

Hi Kim! At the very bottom of the first post for SCSM, there is a little blurb about the optional Convention style swapping. I am assuming that there will be some people that will be swapping Convention sytle before Stamp Mania starts. This organized swap is in addition to any Convention style swapping that is going on. Most of the swapping done outside will probably be card fronts.
This one filled up surprisingly fast. I wish I could open up more groups, but I just don't think there is enough time.

Thanks Jhone! I'm sorry to hear about your accident. Are you two okay?
Will we be swapping at 10:45 am right outside of the (glass doors) entrance?
Hi Ellen! We are swapping at 10:45am. But, I think we will try to do it more towards the big parking area where most of the swapping took place last year. It is a wider area and we won't be in the way if people start lining up for registration.
I went off the posts I saw in your thread and said that we could do the convention style swapping out front by the parking lot where we did the swapping last year starting the same time as yours. I'm sure there is plenty of room for everyone to mingle and have a blast.

Sounds good! We'll have a big ole swap party! ;) I'll take a look at your thread right now.
GG - You are too good! Can you come over and help me with mine? ;)
LOL - sure--- I'm sure I can squeeze in some time between the wedding, honeymoon, stamping my sets and 3 tradeshows I'm working on at work... oh wait... no I can't... I'm just insane and think I can.

You must be kidding, right? I'm the Queen of Procrastinators...what fun is it if you're not finishing your swaps 2 minutes before the last possible minute to hop in the shower and be ready at the last possible minute before you're supposed to leave to meet your carpool, packing frantically and hoping you don't forget the door prize?
I finished the first SCSMV challenge--only because I had to "think", not do anything!
Seriously--I will be stamping next week...'cause the following week is my three girls' school Spring Break and I'll never get anything done between the 3-4 sleepovers and other fun activities being planned. ;)
