Is it bad that I don't even know who/what Ali Edwards is?? I am such a stamping/scrapping novice! Maybe it is because I live WAY over on the other side of the mountains. :-)

I don't scrapbook either. I would love to but I just never make the time! :-)
Scrapbooking takes more time (for me) than making a card, but I love having the finished product. It's great to be able to look back and see not only pictures, but the story in the journaling too.
Maren I just checked out your blog and let me first say wow you had some awesome cards in there! You go girl! But I noticed a scrap book page you did!! And it is fabulous!
Yes, I did that one for a contest! If I get to win something, then I will scrap! :-) That picture was suppose to be in a scrapbook from a trip to New York back in the summer of 05. I did the front page and have stacks and stacks of pictures left! Seriously, I have done 4 pages since January. Before that I hadn't scrapped since our trip to Mexico, December 06. My resolution this year was to scrap more so maybe this year will be more productive! :-) How do you guys find the time?? Do you choose one day a week to scrap?
I make myself do one layout every time I sit to stamp. I must get at least one done before I can play with my stamps. Otherwise I would never be caught up!

I love to scrap, so It's usually just a find some time for it issue.
Hi Ladies! Wow it's been crazy lately. I hope everyone had a good Easter.
I've been scrambling to finish my submission for the Artisan Award which needs to be mailed off this week ASAP. I took a trip on Saturday evening to Ben Franklin and found something new for an ambitious 3D item and ran home to create. I asked about the Ali Edwards class and no dice yet. They told me to call at the begining of April. I still think I'm going to check with them every few days. I don't want to miss that class!
Luci PM'd me to let me know she won't be able to make it on Saturday. We're down to 11 of us total which I'm fine with. Unless one of you knows someone whos dying to come I think I'm happy with leaving our total where it is.
I'll be sending out a PM to you all in the next day or so with my address, directions, and phone number. Map quest does give good directions to my house but I'm in a developement and that takes up half the page with theirs when all you really need to do is follow the main road.

I hope everyone had a great Easter...ours was spent being lazy...after going to church, of course...well, I guess having the kids color eggs and baking cookies isn't that lazy but we had a fun Easter and my fiancee got the much needed down time he deserved...and I got new tires put on my car...they were much needed...I can't wait to meet everyone this coming Saturday! I am so excited!
Does anyone have any spare wood blocks they'd be willing to part with? I'm in need of a LOT of them!!!! I "inherited" a ton of Cottage Stamper stamps that are unmounted...let me tell you...the quality is certainly comparable to Stampin' Up! but no worries...I haven't been converted...though I do love the images...these are my first non Stampin' Up! stamps since I became a demo just over a year ago! I'll be uploading some pictures in just a little while of some cards that I made using my "new" stamps...please let me know what you think (you can click on my gallery link in my signature)! Thank you for the pm - funny enough, you live about 10 minutes away from my demo - she lives at the bottom of Shaw Road in a development - so pretty close! I will be asking my friend if she can make it on Saturday (if that's okay with you) since there is an opening.
Looking forward to the evening ladies! I think my card is almost done - now I just have to get materials ready!

Yeah! Maren will have a drink with me. The reason I ask is I tend to go way overboard on buying stuff and if you set me back to reality I won't be stuck with 4 bottles of margarita mix after you've all gone home.
I have a mix I've been wanting to try that is Pink Grapefruit margarita mix. We can blend that up for even those who don't want to drink. I know many of you are driving yourself so I understand if you don't want to drink. I just crave a corona when I have some spicy tacos!

Yikes scary lollipops Maren! I think I'm gonna pass on those ;). You would not have faired well at my last base in Alaska! You would have never left home with a fear of driving in the snow ;)
Are you ladies planning on a stop at Impress tomorrow? If so or you happen to see these at another shop...could you pick me up 2 packs of the Simply Swank 2" x3" glass pieces? I will pay you back if you find them that evening.
They don't have to be that specific size, I just want some of the larger format glass pieces to make some more non jewlery items.
