Time for me to narrow down a date for a shoebox swap-style gathering in the Madison Wisconsin area. I've contacted the venue from last year and can still get the same rate - so we're headed back to the Prairie Athletic Club in Sun Prairie.
Now I just need to get a feel for when we want to meet! I'm thinking the first quarter of next year - so please choose from the following:
January 20th
January 27th
February 3rd
February 17th
March 3rd
March 10th
We'll go with the majority. Sign up information will follow in December.

Thanks for the email! It would be great to do one during Sellabration but then again, SAB usually taps my energy. March with a fresh new Spring mini catalog would be awesome! I'm game, along with my gang to road trip to Mad-town whenever you set the date! Thanks again!

I don't know if I'll be able to make it or not, but I'd sure like to! I voted for March because it's after Sellabration. A lot of demos are really busy during SAB, and so March would give more time to plan a swap and get away for a weekend.
I can make any day except Feb 3. I do agree, alot of people might be busy during SAB. Also, there is a big shoebox swap in Illinois that alot of people might be going to. I think it is March 31. Just something to keep in mind. Looking forward to meeting everyone!!
Tracy--THANK YOU for organizing this yet again--the facility last year was PERFECT for a shoebox. I can't wait to see friends made at the last event, and meet new friends this year!

Im up for anything I am looking to get away again and i am close. I am coming to the expo next weekend so cant wait. Anyone wanna get together Im for it. Keep me posted on the shoebox.
I think a 6x6 spread swap for spring would be a great idea.
The ABC swaps would be good too just prior to Easter too for great ideas for containers to hold our beloved CHOCOLATES!!

What is a 3 x 3 or a 6 x 6 ? I thought we brought things to make a card???

Yes, you do bring things to make a card. That is the only required element. Then we do optional swaps (pre-made by you) - card fronts, anything but a card and a wow/lottery item.
I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in an optional swap for 3x3 (love notes) or 6x6 scrap book pages.

The only required element is to design a full card and bring enough supplies to let everyone make one. The other swaps are optional - and yes, for those, you would premake one for everyone who opted to participate.

Hello all! I was out of town for the Thankgiving holiday and was pretty much MIA for computer stuff. Hope you all got to enjoy a nice day!
So, looks like the 2 March dates have tied. I've sent an email to the venue to see if one date is better than the other. Once I hear back, I'll let everyone know the final result!

What is a shoebox swap? Do we bring anything? Do we design a card in place everything needed in the box? What do we do?????????

Yep! Thats the minimum requirement. Design a card, then bring all supplies for everyone in attendance to make it. If we make it to 40 people, we'll actually pre-make 1/2 the cards and bring the rest as supplies.
There will be optional swaps as well (card fronts, anything but a card, 6x6 pages, etc).
Food and fun aplenty!
