I got a sneak peek today when I went for a play-date with Robin. Just a heads-up -- you ladies are in for a treat. Robin has done a great job organizing this.
Thanks too Lisa for bringing Erin's scrapbook pages.

Cindy, I have a Stampendous Graduate chick from thier calendar chick collection which does have a little grad cap and a certificate and will likely be fairly easy to mask off. I'll bring it with me to OO for you.The cap is about 1/2 and inch if you don't count the tassel.
I am looking for a wood mount that measures about 4 1/2" x 1 1/4". I am also looking for two of the clam shell cases that measure about 9" x 6 1/2" with the 6 rows inside (demos incentive stamp case). Does anybody have these items that they would like to sell to me?

Deb, you're in luck... I have the clamshells when I ordered it by mistake before they "retired" the clamshells. I was after the big clamshells without the dividers. We'll work out the price later.
Thanks Diane. Would you bring them next weekend to OO, please.

Taaadaaaa!
Yup - that was another surprise I was holding out on.
I had actually almost given up hope, and low and behold, guess what was waiting for me at the post office this morning.....
A really big heavy box of goodies..
You are going to have to wait until next Saturday to see what we have up for auction.....so save up your pennies. Let's just say - RETIRED - is the key word. And I'm not just talking stamp sets.
All proceeds will go to the Olds College Student Emergency Fund.
...........now just who wants to be frolicking in a little CARRIBEAN COOL.......and rolling in GOLD or SILVER.........so MARKER your date.........you won't want to take your EYELET off of these goodies.....for even a short little THYME.
Now you know why you need your wallet, Adelee! Can you believe the how lucky we are with such a hostess? Such a planner. It must be the AB water 'cos none of you girls lack drive or initiative!

Thanks for getting me caught up---- this is too much!! YIPPEE!!
I thought the was some talk about supper plans but not sure what now! I think I may actually need a small meal rather than just snacks etc as I probably won't get time for lunch. I'm sure we could find somewhere reasonably close!
I'm all for trying something new. Preferably not BP's since that's all I seem to do on the road. But if y'all are set on BP's, I'll be okay with it too.

I haven't eaten out much in Olds, but I have heard there is a great Chinese place. Do you want to go out, or lounge around the townhouses and order take-out?
Hi, Tasha and Denise!
Can't wait for Olds...... my shoeboxes are done so I'm good.Fresh meat always welcome since they always have new things to share with us too.
I am thinking dinner at the restaurant is probably better since we won't be having any cutlery and doodads except what we bring. Then we can come back after for the vino, caramel baileys and other sinful concoctions.
Christine, do you have anything to cut the baileys with? Is there such a thing?

Sounds like a plan but I have no idea what BP's is but I do like Chinese food! Let's say I just like food! Need feeding every few hours to stop me getting crabby so my DH says!

Ruth, BP= Boston Pizza. Nothing wrong with them, I suppose but its where me and my coworkers seem to hit in every little town we visit. I do like thier Spicy perogy pizza. But I'm always game for new places.
I think I get to gloat, Deb, since I am done all my projects. I just need to figure out what I want to work on. Oh, yeah- Robin's pages for the circle journal that was due, um, several months ago ;)
And more inchies, of course...
but before everyone get worried, nothing bad happened with my family lol
its my dad's 60th birthday on the 17th, and we originally planned to celebrate it next weekend, but my sister couldn't get time off from work to come back home. and of course the only time she can make it is this weekend..
because she's from out of town, we all have to work around HER.. what a brat lol
It just won't be quite the same smallpigpig. But we'll manage LOL
Welcome and thanks for joining us Tasha, Denise, Laura. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. I've been playing around with my last shoebox swap -- isn't quite there yet, but hopefully..... soon......will be pretty basic, I'm afraid. There has just been too much going on IRL lately. I'm going to try and travel very light again.

6.30 sounds fine and anywhere is good for me! I'll just tag along! As long as I get food all will be well.
Peggy we'll miss your smiling face and chatter. Better have a good time with the family though.
Hi Tasha, Denise and Laura. Will be good to meet some new (to me) girls.
One more thing to finish then all I have to do is pack. They've decreased the baggage allowance as of July 1 but I think I'll be ok. Just won't bring any heavy punches. Hope some of you gals will have yours. Can hardly make a card or anything without my punches!!!
6.30pm works for me too. Do we know what its called? I did a half hearted search but havn't found any names yet...
Ladies, don't forget to bring a decent pair of scissors if you are in the shoebox swaps. And your own glue.....
Ruth, don't forget you have some stuff coming from Peggy- esp your Big bite and punches? They'll add weight ;) She dropped off the goods today. I also have Cindy's stuff.
Do we need to check into the townhouses before we go to the restaurant? I'm not sure how late we can check in. Why don't we plan on meeting at Our Flames at 6:30 since we don't know the name of the chinese restaurant. At one time Our Flames was owned by the same owner as the one here in Lacombe. The food here at Lacombe is certainly decent. It is right on the main road and is not too far from the College. Is someone making reservations? If so, count my group as 3 coming. I'll let you know if that changes.

Flames Restaurant is straight down mainstreet heading west to Sundre. Last time I was there (a couple of years ago now) they had a menu of steaks and pastas. The address is 4602-50Ave. I am sure they have enough seating for us. (403) 556-6300 is the phone number.
Post if you are joining for supper and I will make reservations tomorrow for 6:30
I'm going to work from home tomorrow to allow me some extra time cause I won't have to commute. I am going to be at the College around 5:30 to do check in. Then I will head over to the restaurant.
Right now it looks like:
Robin
Ruth
Christine & Adelee (just cause I am thinking you are travelling together)
Geri
Linda
Diane
Deb
I wonder if the REAL reason Peggy isn't coming -- is that there is no Buckies in Olds????
