I just finished 2 name frames for birthdays on Saturday. Luckily, 2 girls, both one year old ... so the theme and colors are the same. But, how am I ever going to get my swaps done if I have all these other projects to do??
Off to make lunches and bed. Oh... and take the blueberry crumble out of the oven. It smells yummo!!!

That was me last week Nancy - it was the kids' last week at the summer camp they were going to. So I was making goodie bags & cards for all their counselors - 7 of them! I was up till midnight every night last week.
Now that those are out of the way, I can focus on swaps....whew!
Lou Ann ... I haven't decided what I'm bringing yet. But, I take requests!!

I also wanted to let you know the MS punch I bought at HL Saturday was the wrong one so you didn't miss out after all...LOL. The one Lisa used has 3 rows of DOUBLE loops. I did find it at Michael's and got it 40% off. It was pretty pricey but I had to have it.
Anyone in the Utica area have a derby hat (rolled brim all around with a rounded crown) stamp??? Used Karen's a few weeks ago and made a prototype I really like but I can't find the Studio 12 set of four clear hat stamps in the $1 bin at JoAnn's in New Hartford. Now I NEED it for what I want to make for the CF swap. If all else fails I'll find one in a clip art book...
Hi Girls- Can't wait till 9/10/11......huge news for my/our area......better sit down for this one...........HOBBY LOBBY IS COMING TO VESTAL,NEW YORK!!!!!! WhooHoo WhooHoo!!!!!!! I chatted with the manager in the Elmira/Horseheads store & she said it is official!!!!!! They are thinking of the old Circuit City building (next to Target) or will build if necessary........she said they could be there as early as March 2012!!!!! YAHOO!!! Can't tell I am psched can ya???? Have a great Friday! ♥

Wish I could have signed up to go to utica ... miss all of you. Work is insanely busy, more so than usual because everyone is stocking up for Hurricane Irene. I work today and tomorrow and hope I can sleep late on Sunday.

That is GREAT news. I'll spread the word in PA. I/we go to the Binghamton area more than Elmira so this will be perfect. Of course my trips will last longer since I'll have 4 stores to visit instead of 3..LOL.

my daughter was due to fly to NY city for the DMB gig today, but her flight was cancelled and the show for Sat and Sun postponed, good thing too, but she is bumming

Pat eric left at 700 am this morning to see dmb tonight! I tried to talk him out of it, but with no luck. You know the " don't worry mom I'm a big boy I'm not going to get stuck in NYC". well time will tell. I hope it is an amazing concert tonight!

Michele- It really isn't that bad I saw her with em and elizabeth at darion lake.
Believe it or she puts on a good show for a young performer.It just took forever for her to get on stage cause there were 2 opening acts!

I probably hold the record for missing birthdays ... the only one I don't seem to miss is DH's and sometimes his card isn't finished until almost Midnight on his birthday.
The few times I manage to have cards made in advance I end up needing them for unexpected reasons or donate to a cause thinking I have time to make more.
Birthday was nice ... yummy dinner on Wed, brownie cheesecake on the actual day but no such thing as an easy day when you work retail. I will be sooooo happy when I clock out at 5:30 tomorrow (and am scheduled off until noon on Monday!)
The line never ends so it's always awkward leaving since you are basically walking out on customers but there's no choice (except if you are actually helping someone).

I would LOVE to come. I'll have to find someone to stay with mom though. The guys are golfing in the morning and I usually stay with mom on weekends. I'll call if I find someone.

SIL texted us this morning that they are OK at home so far. Power went out about 6:30 last night. They're worried about their cottage at Carolina Beach but no news on that yet.

Oh boy, I think he will be one of the lucky ones to attend tonight, is he driving back this morning (Sat) I hope so before it gets crazy down there, Deb was totally bumming when it (flight and shows) were cancelled, well at least she can book another flight when they reschedule Sat and Sun. I am sure he will be fine and get home safe.
Hope everyone is staying dry and not having flooding issues. DH has been out since around 7 am making sure catch basins, ditches are as clean as can be to help protect NH residents. So far, so good here, but this rain no relenting is making me nervous. I'm playing with my "toy" from the state fair yesterday. A Smart Living Steam mop...I've done almost every floor and the furniture! Hope to put some sauce on and work on swaps for the rest of the day in between trips to and from hockey practice.
