I have overbooked myself for the 16th, I will still be able to make it, but will have to leave at about 1:30. If I hustle, I should be able to get most of the cards done.
Kim---So Sorry you wont' join us----maybe if we hold another----in another time of year, you'll venture our way--Hope So!
Nola
P.S. I KNOW I still need to update----will get it it AFTER supper tonigh--or at least some of it---but, NO don't scan them in---let's keep the projects a suprise---tell us what kind of card but don't show it to us until the Gathering. I'm Looking forward to it so much!

I'm FINALLY sitting down for at least a few minutes to update things!
I have not even figured out my shoebox project yet--but I see many of you have deceided on what kind of occasion card you'll showcase--I'll update that area too. If you find you have time and want to---it would be fun if everyone brought SWAPS---Card Fronts only---SU! SI&P a must. But they don't have to be from a current SU! set--any set/stamp will do!!! Just in case you don't know--a SWAP means Share With a Pal. You create 16 identical (or just about) card fronts and then you swap yours with others that have them --or with everyone no matter if they have them or not. It's just anohter great way of collecting ideas.
I've received payment from everyone---thanks so much for paying advance! When people signed up I ask if they were Demo's or not---not that it really matters--but I am asking Julia to print the Demo's name tags in a different color. I have not heard back from Karin Powell, Karin Menard or Elizabeth Littlehale---could you please post it here or send me an e-mail about this? Thank you.
I'm sure as soon as I log off more will pop into my head but at least it's a start in updating!
Keep in touch, Nola

Between the Kid's, Male & other we've got more then enough of these!!!
I'll do a New Baby---not sure which sex yet!
See the list for who's doing who and please continue to sign up.
Thanks, Nola
P.s.---it is helpful for ME if you use your real first name & last inital.

Hi Nola
I thought I sent in my answer in a PM-but I am not a Demo--just an addict! In case you didn't receive my card type I'll be making a sympathy card.....I might need one myself going to work today in this freezing, windy weather! cwm31.gif

Annie---Don't feel you have to bring a Dessert & Chips---it' just that's I have down that you signed up for. Chips would be my preference---we have 2 more that are bringing desserts and I'm sure we'll be loaded with food!
I'm really looking forward to it too! Just need to clear off the D/table and start working on mine!
Nola

Hi Everyone----The date is just around the corner--sure hope we have better weather then we are having today! Esp. for those of you driving aways!!! For those of you who want to MapQuest the Gathering it's being held at the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church, 242 Main Street in the West Chemsford part of town.
When you do mapquest it---be sure the directions DON'T take you to Aldgersgate UMC which is on Route 4 in Chelmsford!!!
Also, there will be another group in another part of the church for a luncheon (Boy Scouts) so we've been ask to park as close to the END OF THE parking lot as possible. Bunch together as much as you safely can. AND---DO NOT TAKE THE STAFF parking spots, please!
Lastly (for now) the room we will be using does have heat---but it cycles on and off slowly. You might want to bring a sweater if you get chilled easily. I will set the temp. to 70.
I STILL need to get busy!!!! Hope some of you are more ahead of me!
See you soon, Nola

Hey Nola, you must have missed it in one of my emails...I am not a demo for SU!
OK, now for the "bad" news. I thought I'd come up with a cool bday card and order all the stuff earlier in the month but a migraine hit (and has continued on and off for almost 2 weeks now!) so not having something planned and know I had to order I found a card I liked and am going to somewhat CASE it. I hope no one minds to much. Tonight is my first day in WEEKS that I have come down to my craft room and I'm trying to deny that I have a headache behind my right eye but that denial is coming quickly to an end. I will be there on Saturday though as I have to get out of my house!
Nola, what can I bring? I'll probably bring my own lunch as my diet is restricted but would love to bring something to share ;)
sorry nola- there is NO WAY i'm bringing a couple of bags of ol' chips and not *making* something. you're all just gonna have to face the music and eat sweets that day...besides, we'll burn off those calories by crafting!

This just in----if there is someone who has NOT started their project for Saturday----we are in desparte need of a Masculine (or just any kind) of Get Well Card!!!!!
We are down to 14 coming----please prep for 18 (to cover the mistakes)
Thanks, Nola
PS--I'll update the site tomorrow---off for a Valentines Supper right now.
Happy Valentines Day to EVERYONE!

I'm soooo sorry, but I'm not going to be able to make the fun on Saturday. I'm feeling awful and don't have the energy to get my project together (I'm going straight to bed after I finish this). Normally I'd skip work tomorrow and do it, but I'm on jury duty and HAVE to go in, stupid civic duties!! Making me give up stamping with all of you!
I hope you have a great time and I hope to see you at the next one.
sorry nola- there is NO WAY i'm bringing a couple of bags of ol' chips and not *making* something. you're all just gonna have to face the music and eat sweets that day...besides, we'll burn off those calories by crafting!
Hey Annie, do you have a song to go with that dance we'll be doing???!!! Looks like fun!
Karin, I'm so sorry about your migraine; just do the best you can! And Teresa, you're sick too? Poor thing; sounds like that flu that's going around; too bad;
I started my cards last night; they are far from masculine but I decided to bring several greetings so everyone can choose; the card itself could be for many occasions including Get Well or Thinking of You! See you soon!

Karin, I'm so sorry about your migraine; just do the best you can!
Thanks Kathy I wish I understood WHY when I get them some seem to linger for days or come and go. I would prefer myself to get them than my 8 year old who has a *&^% of a year with them so I shouldn't complain!
Nola, did you get my email? I haven't flipped back through these posts to get the name and address of where we are going to be tomorrow. Is it easy to get to? Still don't know what I'm bringing yet but I will probably do something along the lines of an entree.
Ok, so I guess we are down to 13 now. If one of these gals can make it afterall----it is FINE---just come on a ahead!!!!
After you park your car in the back of the lot (there's only one lot) come in through the BACK Doors. Look for my Gathering Sign (not fancy by any means!!!). I plan to pick up some boxes of Joe from D/D and be there about 9:20 a.m. to set up (Christine & Sandy are coming to help me.) I will only be unlocking that BACK door, so if for some reason you park on the street you'l have to come around to the BACK to get in.
Please prep your shoebox for at least 16-18 cards for "mistakes." I did a welcoming Baby card using 3 sets of stamps. You can choose to it for a boy (blue) or girl (pomegrante). I did not get to instructions---but it is EASY!
I've got 6 different Door Prizes to hand out---you'll just put your name in a bowl and we'll draw them out at lunch. They come to over $50 and are all different SU! goodies. Some new & some recently retired and some still current. They are in see through bags so you can see them ahead of time.
Please plan to stay till we are all done if possible----and help clean up too--the room will need to be broken down before I can go home. If everyone does the table they work at---then it will go fast. I plan to set 4 to a table so you should have more then enough room to work. I hope you'll mix & mingle and not just sit with whom you already know.
Please rememberr your Tool box of adhesives, sizzors, stamp cleaners, etc.---the list of that stuff is somehwere above. I think what we'll do is have everyone will take their own box to their spot and pass it to the person on thier Left to start off. Does that make sense???? Or, we can each take a minute or two to explain and show our cards.
My cell is: 978/846-2046----but it does not always get a good signal!!!
I think this covers it---sorry it's so long. If you want to change your food item---that's fine--we are going to have fun and have plenty to eat no matter what it is!!!
See you tomorrow, Nola

well i have some bad news. dh has to work tomorrow. so i need to stick around to watch the kids. i truly am going to miss meeting everyone and hopefully we can do it again sometime soon...
My card could be sort of masculine. I do not have any get well greetings though but it could be addd since I had not planned on putting any sentiment inside the card.
Also, my card needs either dimensionals, pop dots, etc and glue dots so if you have them please bring them. It is not a requirement but would be easier since my card has two brads which make the layer lie better when using some type of pop dot.
Nola, I just made a desert. Who knows how it will taste but it is made, covered and ready to go
I'm "off" to work for an hour (I work out of my house LOL) and then its on to cutting all my stuff. Mine has lots of steps (IMO) but I think it is rather easy as well and with a small group if someone gets stuck I'll go on over and help
And I'll definitely be mingling...I'm coming alone and don't know any of you LOL.
Wow, I don't know about all of you, but I sure had a great time with a fantastic group of talented gals!!!!
You all left me very inspired and full of ideas.
We really do need to do this again---and fairly soon too!
I'm going to hold a Stamp Camp at my house on Saturday March 1st---You are ALL invited!!! 4 projects still yet to be determined but only one will be a card. The rest will be more on the crafty side.
I'll put it into an e-mail and send it around as this might not be the forum to place it.
Thanks to ALL OF YOU---you made it so easy to organize it!
TTFN, Nola

Lurking... Looking for a get together!!! Sounds like you all had a great time. If you guys decide to do another one, I would be interested. I live in CT and I don't mind traveling or helping to plan an event.
ok stampin' chickies! i am so jazzed after the fun we had that i'm ready to set the date of the next one. i'd be glad to hostess at my church (which is a 3 mi. straight shot off rte. 495) on saturday, april 19 from 10-3. let's make it a shoebox swap but i'd like to do thank-yous, thinking of yous and b'day cards. (those are the ones most people need the most often.) i know there was some talk of an abc swap, but i'd like to include some stampers from the south of boston, into ri or ct if they'd like since i live 30 mi. east of worcester. anyway, i thought a card swap might be better for any first-timers...let me know what you think. also, i thought i might ask "ink about it" if they'd like to be involved somehow; may-be a mini-booth or something. what say you? and maybe a swap, too. i thought that was a great idea but it just came up in the thread too late for me...

Annie,
I had a blast at the gathering of stampers. Nola did a great job as our hostess. Where are you located? Sandy and I would be interested in joining...still have to check on the date, but were interested in what town we would be meeting in? Reason being, that it's the kids school vacation and I'd have to start planning to see if I could make arrangements.
I would like to attend in April. I am not sure yet what my plans are with the kids on this vacation week but I plan to make it.
I would like to do a shoe box swap with cards. I have done many ABC technique swaps so I could bring some samples if you want some ideas for a future event.
I go to the Ink About It for their monthly morning stamp club and scrap club. I bet Linda or Lori would donate a door prize to this event.
