Both Erica and Amber used all my stuff to make their cards, so it is not a big deal to keep the box as is and bring it to the next swap.

Default Halloween

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd post a little on this thread -- Sat night was the "BIG HALLOEEN" night at the Ky Horse Park and we go there every year.
They have an all day affair with events going on thruout the day.

Campers decorate their sites lavishly with Halloween items from jack-o-lanterns to those gigantic blow up thingies! Golf carts are decorated and paraded thru park and win prizes!
Jo Jo Gunn played in the evening and we were able to have campfires!
My sister-in-law always makes a big spread of soups, foods, desserts, and hot apple cider - YUM!

OK - now to go and work on some more christmas card kits for my workshop!

Cyber Hugs,
Betty

Default Ready for Xmas Card Swap!!!!

Last weekend I went to Archiver's and bought (among other things) a really cute Xmas stamp. They also had an example of a card made using this stamp. Really cute and simple!

So now I'm ready for our Xmas in July Card Swap!

July seems so far away Karen... But with time going by so fast... I think that I'm just old that's all.

What's everyone up to? I know that Betty has a big workshop this weekend - anyone else up to anything?? Plans for Thanksgiving??

Good for you Karen, its always fun to get new stamps!

Joani,

As for me I am heading out for our 2nd of back to back weekend weddings. Last weekend my nephew married a couple hours away this time isn't as far, my girlfriend's daughter is getting married in Cincinnati.

On Monday I'm getting together with some gals from Miami University to work on cards for a fundraiser. A co-worker has an inoperable brain tumor so the proceeds with go to her. If anyone has any cards they would like to send our way I can guarantee you they would be greatly appreciated!!

From there probably not much stamping in my future as we have decided to host Thanksgiving in our home this year. Quite a bit of planning & a lot of cleaning is what I'm forecasting! lol.

I'm still recooping from my rotator cuff surgery. I will probably go back to work on the 15th.
Erica is having Thanksgiving this year at her house.

oooh, Amanda. I see you are in Georgetown. Betty and I are closest to you. Maybe sometime we can meet up.

Pat I hope that you are doing better, take care of yourself.

Janice - I hope that you've recovered from back to back weddings. That can really poop a person out!

I did it. I signed up for a craft fair/holiday bazaar at a local church here in town. It's the 20th so it's not that far away. I did mention to the lady when I signed up that I don't have that much really - I'm just trying to drum up business since Betty is now my upline Wish me luck everyone. I'm nervous - I won't have my sidekick there (Betty) since she's doing something the same day. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hope everyone enjoys the nice weather this week!
Hugs,
Joani

Good Luck, Joani! Hope you have a fun time at the bazaar. We are going to hang Christmas lights today since the weather is so nice. It will be a break from the usual tradition of waiting until it is cold and bitter outside and then sending hubby up on a ladder! LOL!

Thanks Janice I go back to work next week. It has been a nice 5 week break.I still can't use my arm for some things due to pain, but I can finally use that arm to wash my hair. I am told I am ahead of schedule for recovery, which usually takes months.

Hey, Ladies!

How is everyone doing? Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving. We just finished putting up the tree, the lights are on it, and garland hung where cats won't play with it (I hope). Taking a break before we tackle the ornaments.

Hi everyone. It has been a long time since I have been on this site. I had lots of messages to read to catch up. I can't believe how close it is to Christmas. I went to this very cool thing today. It was at Natorp's and for $30.00 I got a plastic pot filled with dirt & I got to fill it with greens. There were lots of greens to choose from. Everyone ended up with a lovely piece, that they said would last until March. (Just have to take out some of the Christmas specific stuff.) If I had purchased the greens that I used, they would have cost over $100. It was great fun to have so much to choose from.
I'm already planning to do it again next year.

Vicki, I thought about taking that class. Now I'm sorry I didn't! If they have it next year, I will.

We're putting up our tree this weekend. I'm waiting to see how our dog, Bosco, reacts to it. We just got him in May and he has his quirks. For instance, when we went for a walk, one house had a bunch of those inflatable Xmas decorations in the yard. He definitely didn't like them, growled and wouldn't go near them. Another house had a yard full of plastic light up Xmas decorations and that didn't bother him in the least. So it will be interesting to see how he reacts to the Xmas tree.

Spring HAS to come soon! I am so tired of all this cold and snow. I'm sure I'm not alone!

How about Birthday as the theme for our Spring Fling? I can always use birthday cards.

Can't wait to see everyone again!

How did Bosco do with the tree? Both of my dogs did great with the tree. Last year Shadow broke a few ornaments - no problem this year at all. Neither of my dogs like the inflatables, they don't seem to like the noise that the inflatables make.

Are you sure it was the noise or the fact that something in your home was bigger than the two ponies you call dogs? LOL!! Congrats to Shadow for not breaking an ornament!

Bosco did fine with the Xmas tree, just ignored it. The cats, however, thought it was a new toy for them and kept knocking off the ornaments. Little buggers!:p

My grandbabies are coming to visit next weekend. I can't wait! Haven't seen them since Xmas and that's too long!

Hope everyone is surviving this cold snowy weather!

Oh rats, that didn't go the way I wanted it to, I was trying to show Vicki's quote as well. Anyway, just know the two of you were missed!!!!!!
Thank you - that was nice of you to say. I missed seeing all of you and all the wonderful projects. I'll try for the next one.

My grandbabies are coming to visit next weekend. I can't wait! Haven't seen them since Xmas and that's too long!

Hope everyone is surviving this cold snowy weather!
Glad that Bosco didn't hurt anything. When I had cats, they liked to lay under it, so none of the best ornaments when on the bottom!

Default I'M OK!

Hello everyone! Yes, I am fine, but thanks for checking in on me! ;)

I have just been extremely busy with LIFE - volleyball coach, school helper, fought walking pneunomia (sp?) again this Christmas and I started a new business venture. I am not getting on this site too much these days.

I am still planning on having another swap in early April...will get with Lori to find out the available dates for the clubhouse and then match up with my volleyball schedule.

Be on the look out for a new thread with the updated information on it!

Love to all!
Beth

Beth, glad to hear that you're okay. If you need any help with the swap, or want to "pass the baton" on doing the swaps, I'm sure there are several of us who would be more than happy to help. Just let us know!
