Actually, there are a few stores I'll be visiting, lol!!! That's right, I can't make stuff (except for cutting the cs for my texas austin day swap), but I can buy it!
It is so great that you are joining us, maluaguayo!! Can't wait to meet you!
I am loving your idea to do a swap, Paula! I'm not sure I'll have time to make something, so I'm probably going to have to "bow" out. (It is spring break this week) But... I'm not giving up without at least trying to put something together. For those who would like to participate, are you thinking of a particular theme? Or is it just anything in a 3 x 3 size?
Hey Cassandra, look what you've started.....is this fun or what!?! Only a week away....Olive Garden, here we come!
I don't really have a theme, but maybe either something with spring, or friends!
I'm going to do 10-12 and see what happens. If I have alot left over, then they'll just go to my DH's office. He's always begging for more cards for his bud's there!
So, does somebody want to post the exact address of the Olive Garden we'll be meeting at? I have to print my map to it, ya know! (and I'll actually bring it with me this time, lol)
I am getting super excited! First this, then Austin!!!
OK, I made some 3x3 cards! They go fast! But, I don't have any 3x3 envelopes! Is everyone going to be upset if I don't have envelopes? I can look for a template, I guess.
I guess we should try for a final count pretty soon. I'm counting 10-12 adults and 4 kids so far:
I'm really sorry to all the people who have to work! Wish I could meet all of you! Unfortunately, I am only going to be in town Sunday night (late) through Friday afternoon.
Looking forward to it!
Cassandra

Reason: adding to list -- more!
Kimberly I'm so proud of myself---I got the makings of 10 cards cut out! Since I found a package of cards already cut at J's I'm only making 10. I'm sure that should be enough for the ladies. Sorry kids! I got 1 whole card done and I can't believe I got so much on the little bitty thing!
Does anyone think we should post a notice about this get together in any other areas of th SCS website? I was wondering about in the "Other Stuff" under the "Get It Together" area. What do y'all think? Maybe it is overkill, I don't know.....
Hi, I'm new to the N. TX area - moved to McKinney in Dec'05 from Mass., but work in Dallas (on the Richardson line). I can take a long lunch on Tuesday, but probably won't go to the scrapbook warehouse. Probably be there just for lunch. I would love to meet all of you ladies - fellow stampers - in the area! See you there!

I don't care where it's posted, I'm not doin' any more swap cards!! After the DDG this month, and these 10 for Tuesday, I'm carded out!!! If more people come, I'll just stamp their hands!!
Natalia, Can't wait to meet you! Maybe you could get "sick" at lunch??? Did you see the address posted so you can get directions? Looking forward to meeting you!
Paula
Nah. I have a truly great boss - very flexible. I can take a long lunch, and make up the time after i come back. ;) (Of course, that is, as long as it doesn't become a routine.)

This is going to be so fun to see everyone!
Paula
Oh cool!! Can't wait to see what you came up with!!! I ended up with 13. They're not complicated at ALL, pretty simple, but I think they're cute and they do have glitter!
OMG did I hear the word GLITTER----You know I can't get enough Bling!! I guess I'll have to wait to the final count to see if I need to make more "little" cards. I also picked up some little Easter bags at the $Target to fill with some stuff for the kiddies. My hubby has a collection of McDonald toys and I thought I'd put some candy along with that, so they kids don't feel left out.
I revised my post #53 -- now we have 10 - 12 adults! woohoo
I will have to make more cards, I think.
Connie -- Personallly, I think this post has spent enough time on the front page of the forums and I wouldn't bother posting in the Get-togethers section. (Actually, are we lucky a moderator didn't move it already?) But I'm not opposed to it -- just lazy!
I really have to do laundry so I can start packing eventually! My DH is in 2 concerts this weekend and we're leaving right after the second one, so I have to be packed by Sunday morning.
Paula: That is too sweet to include the kiddies!! I know they'll be thrilled....
perhaps even more thrilled than Katie was today when she snuck in to the kitchen and stole a box of Thin Mints and downed half a sleeve of them before I caught her little 19 month old self red-handed (or chocolate-mint-handed) ;). She truly was the picture of happiness with her little cookie-stuffed belly!
Aww...Adam will be totally thrilled, aren't you the sweetest! So can we start a list of who is doing the swap? I will try very hard to do mine on Monday if there aren't already too many people.
So far I see these doing the swap:
prbloom
mamakimberly
cassandranet
ruby-heartedmom
ndelam
TXstamper
raiwoof (maybe mom too)
me (maybe)
So right now I have 7 for sure and 2 more maybe's for swapping 3x3.
How many Kiddies are coming?? I don't want to leave anyone out!
BTW, has anybody got the old set Out of this World??? I'm looking for the rocket ship and if you could stamp a few for me I'd be ever so gratefull!!
No Paula, the Toy Box one is a round alien-like space ship, not rocket! I know what you mean -- I have the new BasicGrey Oh Baby Boy Rocket Ship paper!
IF I get to come, I'll probably have my 3-1/2 yo with me and would try to swap, too. We'll see . . .
Yeah, sorry, I thought there was a rocket ship shaped one too.... I thought I've made a rocket card for Em's son??? I'm gonna have to go look now and see if I have another one.....
