we are going to plan a great fall meet where we can make and take and swap idea's and learn lots of new things, so mark it on your calendars, enjoy your summer but start making lots of new things to show us! Michele and I are near lakeland so it will be centrally located for anyone who wants to join us!

A shoebox swap is where you design one card and bring all the stuff to make it in a box. Cut enough pieces and bring enough supplies for everyone coming to make your card. Everyone does this and you go around and make everyone's card. It is a lot of fun and you get some really great ideas!
A shoebox swap sounds like fun! Just let me know when and where and how many and. if possible, I'll be there!

Vil - I know I replied last night but I wanted to make sure you received my message. I'm definitely interested - a shoebox swap has been mentioned and sounds like fun - I'm starting to lose track of who's sending what suggestions! I'm in east Orlando, near Waterford Town Center. Are you willing to coordinate? If so, just let me know when and where! I'm excited about getting together with fellow stampers!

I'm not too far from the 417, so I can come up to Lake Mary, if that's best for everyone. If there is any place in between that would be better for everyone, just give a shout out. Late July would work at this moment in time - hoping to be gone at the very end of the month but let's see what we can do!

Vil,
Have you worked anything out for a get together? I'd love to attend.
I'm still interested in meeting anyone from Miami or the surrounding areas. I know that I've seen posts from Miami, West Kendall (which is where I'm at), Homestead and Largo. PM me if you are still interested in getting together. We could meet at Scrapbooks n' Stuff near the falls. Let me know : )
It would be really neat if we could organize a get together somewhere in central Florida so that everyone throughout the state could meet. If anyone decides to host such an event please make sure to come back to this thread and post the details. Thanks! : )
Hi, I'm new to the boards, but BOY! am I glad I found SCS!!!
Anyone in my area looking to get together to stamp and inspire? I'm drowning in supplies, but have no muse to help me use them!!!
We are going to plan anything we can think of, crops, card making etc. I'm near haines city just down from you I have ladies in lakeland, winter haven, lake wales etc. We just have to get days and times going what works for you? I use to do wednesday's for the cards 3 times a day and then we did scrapping at night, we get cricut idea's and everything else hope you can join us, one lady in the spring from british columbia stayed in ocala came down also.
It will be in october things slow down for alot of the ladies and we can get a weekly thing going we can do it at my place or change area's We have a clubhouse and that sometimes works but for the most part I have always done it at my house everything is right there, all you bring is idea's and plan on lots of fun, and we eat too!!
I only read page one, so I'll have to read though this to see if anyone would like to get together in Miami.
Hi, Stasia Todd here from Miami. I have one downline, Olga; she has her daughter as a downline in Orlando. My other four DL dropped this summer. One has moved and wants to re-sign with the next discount on the starter kit.
Most of my sidelines are in Broward county. Have one, Isis, in Miami. But since many of you didn't even use your first name, I'm not sure if I might already know you.
Jennifer and Esther are sidelines in Miami, if they're still active. I just realized that Jennifer, who started this thread, is one of my sidelines.
Nice thread.

Lake City, FL here. Would love to meet some of those who mentioned they're near Gainesville
Hi there!
Nice to hear from you. I'm over in spring hill on the Mid west coast of the state. I'm about 2 hours from Orlando West. So Gains. would be way too far; but, thanks so much for the invite.

In Citra which is about 20-25 minutes south of Lake City. Have friends who used to live in Wellborne so the distance is doable at least on an occasional basis. If it sounds reasonable to you, shoot me a pm and maybe we can arrange something soon. I'd love to get a group get together organized this fall!

Hi guys,
thanks very much for the invite; but, business is soooooo busy right now. I would love to take a break and come and see everyone; but, it would probably not be until late fall. Thanks and talk to you soon.

I'd be happy to host a get-together if you're interested. Maybe we'll find some other people too...I've never done this sort of get-together before. (I'm a very new Stampin' Up! demo & haven't had my first workshop yet, either). What would you suggest we plan, when, etc?

A shoebox swap is fairly easy to arrange. That's where each participant brings all the makings for a card she designs and shares with the group. Everyone takes home a project designed by each of the others. The hardest part is arranging for the place to hold it, and that is usually just because of the expense. Sometimes someone is fortunate enough to have a facility available for little or no cost. To leave enough time to plan the event....place participants,a nd projects, I think the earliest it would be practical would be in November. What do you think? I know I have people on this end who would be interested!
I live in Sanford, which is North Orlando. I have some friends who work at a hotel and might be able to get a room there. Also, the library is usually free. Let me know who is in Central Florida and a date and I can start planning it.
I like the idea of a shoebox swap! Maybe we could plan it for somewhere in Gainesville, if we get enough people interested. So far though, I only see Lynnor/icensheba saying you're nearby and available to do something. Is there anyone else who's interested in a Gainesville and/or Lake City area meetup?
I've also found a place in Florida that hosts scrapbooking retreats in Inverness, FL, which would be quite convenient for people from Orlando as well as the Gainesville area. Of course, anyone from other areas are welcome too! http://www.scrapbookseason.com/ It would cost $800 for reserving it Friday through Sunday for a group of 12, and they have a lot of tools available so you don't have to bring all your own. I could bring my Stampin' Up! things, also, since they probably don't have those. We'd have to arrange our own meals, but there's a full kitchen at the retreat home. If anyone's interested in scheduling a weekend there, I'd LOVE to do that sometime next spring!
