Good evening everyone! Yes it was a good day for tea. I took my cup of tea in a insulated cup to jury duty all week! We are done! So happy.
I hope to get started on this craft. September seemed so far away when we first began! Where has the time gone?
Sharon
Annmarie!
Have you been to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon? How far is that from you do you know? We looked at it and were thinking of doing a trip up there. We'd love to go see Niagara but don't have the passports for DH & twins so not sure if its worth that cost to do that...
Looks like I'll be missing the tea party. We were supposed to be gone the weekend of the 8th but I have to work that weekend. Guess which weekend we have to go instead :-(

hello dear TEA party friends! One of my stampin' friends gave me a "Woman of God...Moments of Grace...25 Devotions" book. She knew I was going to participate in the tea party and I would like to share some of the "tea-riffic" tea words from the book.
Beau-Tea; beauty: a quality that pleases the senses or agreeably engages the mind or spirit.
Varie-Tea; Variety: A number of different kinds; the absence of monotony or sameness.
Identi-Tea; Identity: the condition or fact of being a specific person or thing.
I LOVE the tea words and will try to share a few each day.
Thanks all! I am not sure if I will be able to check in or not, but please bump the list and let any newcomers know I will be back in a few days and add them then but that yes, we are still accepting new players.

I went to the Pa Grand Canyon a long time ago, it was a very beautiful sight, and now that you've put it in my head I should go back. The area is surrounded by 3 or 4 state forests and parks, so whatever kind of outdoor activities you like, you can find them nearby. It was 3 hours from my house, a nice easy drive.
You can always visit the US side of NF, which I love and there's lots to do and it's quite beautiful. BUT it's really fun to walk across the Niagara River and go through Canadian customs on foot and view the falls from the Canadian side too. Whenever we have company we take them to the falls - we actually are up there quite alot anyhow, it's gorgeous and we love it - and we've always had a fun time when we can just do the one side whether it's because of time constraints or lack of passports. If you are seriously considering a visit, we'll talk on the phone . . . :-)
Well ladies I'm going to stay on this thread to chat and keep up, but I won't be joining you for the tea party on the 15th. I just realized that is the day of the annual car show in Akron, I will miss any other car show but that one. My Dad , husband, stepson, and myself all bring our cars; and because you don't have to park in your class, all four of us park together, we have all these great shots of the 4 of us posing at our front bumpers all in a row - my Mom gets camera duty that day. Akron itself is this tiny little town, cute as a button, we go very early and grab our spots then go to breakfast together at Mary's Good and Plenty. In the little park in the center of town people set up kitschy little booths to sell stuff or run raffles, and there's street vendors for lunch, and usually at least one of our cars wins a plaque and we get a bit competitive about it. Just a great day every year.
BUT since I won't be contributing a project here's a tiny giftie for you all - and you may already have these bookmarked if you're a blog junkie like I am - but hope you like these and have fun with them:
alenka's printables for tea and coffee, she is scrapbooker too Free Printables
Well, I am having my afternoon cupa tea. It is Vanilla carmel. So relaxing. I will check out your swap later. Right now, have to get down to my craft room.
Welcome back.

Hi, ladies. JCI. Sharon, I'm having a cup of green tea (decaf) right now, but I do love black tea with apricot! Yum!
I have never seen any tea with apricot. Sounds good! I like Raspberry Royale by Bigalow, but they don't have it anymore in the store. But they still make it, because I have seen it on line.
Have a great day everyone. We finally got some rain.

I've been off SCS for a couple of months now. Last month I lost my job and have been down in the dumps ever since. I haven' felt like crafting or even leaving the house. :(
However, I'm getting 'back in the saddle' and working on my crafts. I'll "See You" at the Tea Party on September 15th!

Glad you are "back in the saddle" again. Will look forward to seeing you at the Tea Party. My DH just ask me today what "virtual Tea Party" was when he saw it on our calandar. LOL I tried to explain. You know I don't think he understands all these SCS things. I tell him I am doing a challenge etc, and I don't even think he listens!

I know what you mean about talking to your husband about SCS. I've mentioned swaps to my brother and his eyes just glaze over. ;)
Welcome back! I am glad you are feeling better and treating yourself to the creativity. Perhaps an etsy opportunity or some craft shows with the holidays coming up?

Have you all seen the new CottageCutz dies of the teacups and teapots??? OH MY! I don't know how new they are but they were new to me anyhow... gotta keep my budget in tact though... but oooooooooooo, they are cute......

So funny! Well, here, DH and DS have both learned that swapping can be very interesting and they almost open the mail without me... Almost. They know better, but they do bug me until I open it and go through it 'for them'...
DH appreciates it and understands it now, after 5+ years of it... and the twins now speak swap-language and he laughs because of it.... ATCs, ABACs, 3+1's, DSP... they know the 'secret code'...

My DH hasn't got past Stampin' Up. Everything I do, he calls it "Stampin up stuff." LOL even all my scrapbooking challenges.
Last night I dreamt i got this craft done. I am really really really going to work on it today.

Too funny! My DH knows I swap but I dare don't teach him the lingo!! LOL!!! He is already too nosy about what I do in my craftroom which is my sacred grounds or woman cave one might say. You'd think I had some secret spy operation going on in there the way he acts sometimes...LOL!!
HI EVERYONE!!!!
Just checking in with you to see who is still planning to attend my virtual tea party here on this thread on next Saturday, 9/15, at 11am EST????
Please check in, and please send me a PM with your mailing address too.
Give more days til we share our projects here and I'll throw some fun questions out for prizes, and we'll chat away while enjoying our tea and crumpets (or whatever the accompaniment may be)!! I am currently gluten, dairy and sugar free... so it makes those side accompaniments a challenge but I'm hoping to find something this week to enjoy with the tea!
