tillyhead 08-30-2008 05:04 AM

it's dangerous to watch tv with DH in the morning - we just ordered a new 60 inch tv from shop nbc.com for the basement.

njbaker 08-30-2008 05:28 AM

Nice to find you here (on this thread!). The next gathering I might be able to go to (but probably not) is in early November (I think the 8th) in Syracuse.

Nov 8 is Virginia Regionals. I am **hoping** to go!

nope... no lottery, but we did take out a decent sized home equity loan:rolleyes: :( I do plan to order the big shot and some dies soon, but that is with my own paycheck(s).

Perhaps some of the CNY demos are going too. And I could be wrong on the date for the get-together.

I'm hoping we'll be packing and /or moving but we are still waiting to hear if Tony gets offered the job (it's been such a long week - our gray Maine Coon cat, Cougar, died yesterday ... I posted on another CNY thread - it feels like he interviewed a month ago instead of 4 days ago).

I won't be online much longer (or much at all) as we are having a small BBQ tomorrow and need to do as major a cleaning / hiding of stuff as possible. No relatives so a lot less pressure but the house has been neglected (more than usual) lately.

Just as soon as SOMETHING gets done:rolleyes: They are supposed to build the walls and roof for the small addition this week, then it's just odds and ends outside. Sorry to make you all think that I had lots of free money that I wasn't sharing:mrgreen:

DH did get a small settlement from a fire dept. training accident he was involved in about 15 years ago (just before I met him). As a volunteer fireman, he was trapped on the 3rd floor of a training tower and suffered serious burns over 30ish percent of his body. Weeks in the hospital, skin grafts, body socks, bandages etc., etc. But, other than the settlement (which will be used mostly to outfit HIS area of the basement), we've gotta pay every red cent back. :(

Next Saturday, I'm off for the week getting last minute things done.

Linda I do get like 8 weeks of time off a year (PTO) from having been there sooooo long and I never use any as sick time- just harder to get out of some scheduled weekends:rolleyes: I earn over 12 hrs every paycheck.

I would think that it is just 2 - 45 degree angles.... but I'm sure that is what you tried first. And it didn't work?

Mike said it depends on whether it is the floor, ceiling, or window trim. He said that some trim is already at an angle so you have to cut your angle at an angle....if you get that. He said it is not always just a 45...you might have to do a 45 at an angle. lol I am sure that didn't help you at all but I tried:mrgreen:

I can't help either but maybe websites like HGTV or DIY can help find an answer.

Good Luck!

tillyhead 08-31-2008 05:39 PM

thanks girls, for all your help (or attempts there-at). I did find a picture tutorial and I was cutting the molding lying down and it needed to be upright... duh! It was just 2 45 degree angles, but with the mitre, not the bevel. It's all done now and even spakled, I'll sand and paint it tomorrow and maybe even post a picture!

njbaker 08-31-2008 05:49 PM

Yes, you do need to position the material the same way you will be using it.
