Not likely to get there tonight (even though I'm close); my eyes keep closing.

I came across a thread from a new SCS member in NY and told her about y'all. Since most of the chatting seems to be on this thread, here's the link to Trish's post:

Good night all (sorry for not sticking around for more updates but I'll probably be back at some odd hour if hubby snores as usual tonight!)

Back...laptop takes forever to get on and then I "had" to detour to QVC (LOL). Gifts: I recieved a folder with 7 cards, envelopes, pen done with pink, purple, green flowers, I gave boxes of blank panel cards in 2 sizes, tote bag & a scarf. one had boxes with ribbons, primas, brads, others had stamps sets, stickles, papers, mini albums, alterable projects

We had a great time yesterday though I had to skip out early in order to pick up my catalogs before dinnertime. Just made it, too. But at least I have them for today. Sorry to hear you don't have yours yet, Diane.

We missed both Dianes and also you, Tina. Hope November may be in your plans.

tillyhead 08-10-2008 07:50 AM

Hi GIrls!

Nice to see you posting Arlene. I apoligiezed to Arelene girls that she probably got an ear full once she said she knew me :)

Glad you all had fun. We too had a fun and very successful day the the park fundraiser. I'm sure I would have had more fun with ya'll though!

norway76 08-10-2008 08:29 AM

HI girls!! What a great day indeed! Just thought I'd say hi quick, I do want to take some pics and upload them from yesterday.... just had to look through the catalog first! What fun it is!!

Tripled it for this group!
Though they had to compete with Gayla's grahams and so some sticky buns went home with Karen (new to our gathering)

I'll share!

Sticky Buns

1 loaf frozen bread dough (thawed until workable)
 cup chopped nuts
1 stick butter or margarine
1cup salted mixed nuts
 cup brown sugar
1 pkg. Butterscotch pudding mix (NOT INSTANT)
Cinnamon

Use the stick of butter to grease a bundt pan. Melt the rest and set aside. Put some of the nuts in the bottom of the pan. Cut the bread dough into 20+ pieces. Put half over the nuts and dust cinnamon over the dough. Add the rest of the nuts and bread dough pieces and dust with cinnamon. Sprinkle the dry pudding mix over the bread. Crumble the brown sugar on top of that. Drizzle the rest of the butter over the top. Cover with a towel and place in the oven overnight. Next morning, remove the towel. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. (DO NOT PREHEAT). Invert on a plate and serve immediately.

Thank you for saying so, Kari! Please remind me of what you look like since I'm not good at placing names with faces.

Happy Birthday Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

norway76 08-11-2008 06:59 AM

I'm uploading photos from Sat as we speak here..... but I don't have any action shots, just pics of projects and cards!

BearCollector 08-11-2008 07:08 AM

The SCS event on Saturday was great!! Seemed to flow very well and a few new faces to meet. Thank you to Jackie and Gayla for organizing another successful event. I did take quite a few photos, but haven't uploaded them yet. I was waiting for someone to make a spot to put them first as I'm not all that familiar with uploading to this site.

It was fun to see the new in-colors.

Thank you to Nancy for demo'ing the glitter mists over stencils. Love it and now have to have some!!!

Also, thank you to Rochelle for demo'ing the Pazzle, and for cutting us a sample to take with us.

Missed all of the "regulars" who didn't attend!! Michelle - that's you!!

Thanks:
Wendy
