Is it wrong that I am soooo happy that I committed to going to this gathering BEFORE I got the invitation to go to a bridal shower for our employee's future daughter-in-law where I would know only two people, our employee's wife and daughter??? Hubby thinks I'm lucky, too! I'd rather play with you all my friends than get stuck at a table at a shower where I know no one. Did that at the daughter's bridal and baby showers and they were way too long for me...even though the wife did very thoughtfully make special gluten free cupcakes for me for the baby shower. I have very poor conversational skills with strangers...have no clue what to talk about. I know it's not about me it's about supporting our employee's family but I am soooo happy to have dodged that bridal shower bullet!

Arlene made a suggestion that I really like.... ladies, can we make 2 sets of shoeboxes (just like Binghamtons get together)? Like she said, I'd hate for the day to end early.

I'm confused ... if there will be 11 participants .. with Pat .. won't we just need 11 kits times each of our 2 shoeboxes? we wouldn't need 22.

For the shoebox, are we doing 1 design but bringing enough supplies for everyone to make 2 cards. Or are we doing 2 designs and enough supplies for 1 card each?

I plan to wash and put away winter clothes, make Thanksgiving and Christmas cards for one of my SILs, and maybe play with my art journals. I bought Iridescent Medium this week and mixed it with acrylic paint...what a shimmer! I think I'll see what happens when I mix it with reinkers. I'd like to make some type of funky mixed media backgrounds for my NVRs.
