Alright ladies we had a great time with the swap this month! For those of you who could not make it, I'm trying to give enough notice so you can mark down the day! So here it is.....
Saturday December 30th from 5:30p.m until ???
I will get the multi-purpose room in my building so we will have plenty of room! I'm thinking maybe something pot-luck (something small) so we can nibble and stamp!
Diana said something about making it a challenge based swap this time and I think that is a great idea so I'll be hunting down a good challenge and post it soon!

You can choose one of the challenges or both if you want. If you make both just make sure you bring enough supplys!! I didn't choose hard challenges because we are all on different levels of stamping so I wanted to choose something fun for everyone!

Well, there's another I'll miss. I am going to the states for the holidays and won't be back until Jan 8th. Gosh I really hoped I'd make the next one. Oh well, have fun.

I'm thinking a shoebox with challenges would be so fun!! I've just been on the lookout for a challenge that really catches my eye. I don't want it to be something not everyone can participate in.....I'll be hunting!

Katrina, feel free to come to my house and plan your swaps, if your stuff is in boxes. I have lots of stuff and room! (bring your own paper - I am cheap!) LOL ;)
I was thinking about this and I think if we allowed for 2 people at each station, it would go much faster. I don't know about the Towers room, but there would have been room for 2 to do each card at the NCO club. What do you all think?
BTW - Torii PO decided to close yesterday, so I am headed there today to pick up our stuff! So sorry it took this long to get in, Diana!

Well, if my DH's work schedule doesn't get changed over the holidays, looks like he's off the weekend of the 30th which means I can come!! So, count me in (tentatively) - I should know definitely by the first of December. Oh, and Edie says to count her in too.

Alright ladies, I have to first appologize for this being late. I spent last Saturday through Wednesday dealing ds and his bout with the flu. Also trying to cook Turkey's on top of that....... A week I care to never relive!! LOL.
Anyway I posted the challenges in the first post! I hope you find them fun. I tried to choose something we could all take part in since we are all at different levels of stamping. Choose one or choose both but just have fun with it! I'm really looking forward to this!

ok Rosie! I'm off to try them both... we'll see how lucky I get. I've been creatively dry lately and have had no time to stamp. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving weekend!
I have a non-SCS friend that I think is coming. Her name is Heidi and I've given her all the info. I'll double check with her, but am pretty sure she's coming. Do we have a tentative count yet so we know how much stuff to bring???? I am definite by the way - DH is off that night, so he's babysitting - Yee - ha!!! See you all then!!

Hey Ladies...Unfortunately I need to bow out of this one. :( We are getting ready to PCS back to the states and we have A LOT of stuff to take care of and get done before TMO comes in!!! Aack! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I can't believe our get together is this Saturday already!
For those of you who don't know I live on Camp Foster, Kubasaki Towers. Those are the ones closest to Kubasaki High School. It's building number 2604 and the room is down stairs right off the lobby. Please PM me if you need any more directions!
Can't wait to see you all!
Also as far as food goes, just bring something to nibble on...don't stress it, just something small (like an appitizer sort of thing small).

I have just brought my neighbor into the dark side! I showed her Splitcoast and she's a stamper from the states and she had never heard of it! How fun to get someone else to join in the fun. She wants to come Saturday, so that's one more.
Why did I have to say, challenge?! LOL. I can't believe that it's already time for our gathering. Time is just flying!
Abbey, I don't know what the template is you're asking for, but I went to the techniques forum and asked for a template and people gave it to me. Give that a try.

Woo-hoo, I'm ready! I got my card sample made last night and have most of the card stock prep done.
Lisa, to give you a hint, I am doing the single in a Valentines' theme. It's where I got my best mojo, so I just went with it. OOH, it was so tough not using a background stamp! I didn't realize how much I've gotten used to using them every time. I am just not coordinated enough to figure out the tri-fold. It's something I have to see done.
I am baking cupcakes -in chocolate.

Hi Diana! Thanks for the offer of a ride, but I'm planning on bringing Adam with me and I'm not sure how he's going to do. Even if I end up leaving him here, I might have to come home early if he won't take his bottle. I guess I still have to decide what I'm going to do with him. :rolleyes:
