Nope not it………..much easier. LOL
Ok, Beth, I took 2 graham crackers, a ghost Peep & the small Hershey bar & put it in those small cellophane Hallmark bags, that I bought at Wal Mart. There were 3 designs………5 of each…….spiders, ghosts, pumpkins. Then I printed out toppers with a poem on them (2 designs) and stamped around it with the old SU Happy Haunting set. Folded it over the bag & stapled shut. TOOOOOOOO cute!
Here are the 2 poems:

This one was for my neighbor hood treaters:

S’mores are chewy
S’mores are gooey
they are yummy
in your tummy!!!!

This Halloween Ghostie
Is a very special treat
He's not here to haunt you
He's a gift for you to eat

2nd poem I did for family/friends:

Our Friendship is
SPOOKTACULAR
And magical you see
That's why you will always be
A special friend to me
So here's a wish this Halloween
For happiness galore
Cause we'll be friends forever
And even then S'more

I'm bringing my door prize unwrapped so you can see it. I just tied a bow around it. I made 41 card packets so far, The sample w/recipe on back for Kathy & one without for Ronald McDonal House.

Was in your area yesterday. Picked up my friend at 7:45, near Lafayette, & went to Airport.....picked up another crafter & then hit Memoirs, Michaels (Westfield), JoAnn's crafts, grandkids in Noblesville, hit 37 and shot up to Marion to drop off MY Beth, hit 18 thru Flora & then cross country to Lafayette. Got back to Monticello at about 8:20. Talk about tired. LOL But soooooooooo worth it. Did take time out to have lunch with my daughter, Terri & her family near the Carmel Middle school, where she teaches. All in all...............a WONDERFUL day. Terri informed me that when my granddaughter (almost 14) has a day off she watches HGTV. That's MY girl!

Can't wait for Saturday.

Thanks Patti for answering the question about the tickets.

There will be one ticket given as you register and hand over the door prize you brought. Then if you bring one you will take one home. :-)

Another ticket will be given when you give me your completed project, and a third ticket given when you turn in your card for the Ronald McDonald House. And there may be more....

For the door prizes...you can wrap them if you like...or not...as you choose. Last year there were both kinds. Do whatever you like. I will probably just add a bow to mine....so okay...call me lazy!

See you all soon!

And a great time was had by all!

Seriously - just got home from a day of stampin SCS style in Central Indiana. It was sooo much fun to actually meet everyone that I've been "talking" with on SCS for so long. The projects were all fabulous- the facility was top notch - The goodie bags out of this world!

and Kathy - kudos for a job very well done!

Now to get my SU order together for all those things I tried today, and of course, have to have!

Just a quick post....then I am off to the bubble bath....

O M G ! ! !
It was such a blast today. All you gals were awesome! Even if I did have to ride herd on a couple of you....and you know who you are!

Seriously, all the cards were so awesome! Your kind words so made me smile. Thanks to all of you for making this such a great day for everyone!

Give me a few weeks, then I will have the fun CDs out in the mail to you all. I am sure Cindy got some real "doozies" on action photos! LOL!

Thanks again, to my committee members (Jane, Susan, Missie, Cindy, Patti, Teresa) for all your hard work....and to you stampers for being so fun! (and talented!)

Give me a few days to decompress...then maybe we can "talk" about a spring event! :-D

Jane, I think Kathy just called us cows - the abuse we take, I tell ya.

Seriously though - Thanks to everyone for a WONDERFULLY FUN FILLED day.
It was great to meet and get acquainted with everyone, thank you all for sharing your talents. Your cards were wonderful!

Kathy, "THANK YOU" seems so insignificant - get some well deserved rest and enjoy the rest of the weekend. I appreciate you and all your efforts!

Hugs to everybody!
Happy stamping!
GO COLTS!

I'll third all that! I had so much fun! Everyone was SO gracious and I loved being in a room with 34 other women who think like I do!! THere wasn't a single card to be disappointed in, and I loved the variety of styles and looks. I loved being able to try different companies, too. It added a lot to the experience.

Kathy, U R AMAZING! I think you did an awesome job with everything... the loot bags, the catered lunch (SOOOO Yummy!), the location, the everything! Thank you!

Default so fun!

I had the best time yesterday! It far exceeded all my expectations!!!! I loved the totes filled with fun goodies. The lunch was soooo good; especially the pasta salad!! I got an AWESOME door prize! Ashley Bowen's a very talented lady!! And being a beginner stamper, I was a little nervous about going, but I'm SO GLAD I DID! I met a lot of wonderful people and made some great friends! Kathy, you did a WONDERFUL job on this gathering! You made the day so much fun, kept me laughing and at ease!!! I am eager to stamp some more!!! LOL The day was filled with fun from getting registered to packing up for home!!! The only thing I would change for next time is to bring a bigger tote to carry all my stuff in! LOL Seriously, it was the best event I've ever gone to and I would love to go back next year!!

I would like to second what everyone else said and add a BIG thank you. As a TAC demo, I was a little nervous about going to an event that I knew would be all SU people (of which I'm one too). Everyone was so friendly and helpful! I'm really hoping we'll get together again in the Spring!

Chiming in on what a WONDERFUL time I had and what an EXCELLENT job Kathy and her crew did! Loved all the cards and the food was great! I had resisted looking at getting a Cuttlebug but after using them yesterday, I am re-considering getting one. Hubby's not going to like that considering that I already have a Sizzix and a Cricut.

Me too! Me too! I had an awesome time too!!! It was just fantabulous! I enjoyed all the super projects and everyone was so friendly...but we already knew we were friends cuz of SCS, right? I really had a great time! Was great to meet all of you face to face and see again some I'd met before. Wonderful cards and new techniques and layouts! I'm so excited to get up to my work area and start putzing around with a few new ideas. Oh, I even put a pop dot on my Stazon lid like someone had at their station yesterday.....did all my Stazon pads today! Awesome idea there!

And, KATHY...HOLY COW! I rumaged through to the end of the tote after I got home and my goodness! What fun goodies in that bag. I can't wait to start using up some of the items and even checked out the coupon websites this afternoon. Thanks to all you SCSers who donated goodies for our goodie bag and door prizes. Just amazing. And, our gift swap was so much fun. I love my tin filled with snacks......actually MY BOYS loved the snacks, too! LOL! I did eat part of the peanuts on the drive home from the swap...so it was muchly needed and muchly appreciated. Thanks to whomever spent the time making it and filling it with luscious treats.

Already looking forward to the spring gathering!!!

I'm not sure if we want to start a new thread - or keep this one going -

but I was going through all my cards last night that we made, and realized I learned so many new things about card making! I love all the WOWs - and I know I will be adding each and every one when I stamp now.

So.... what was your favorite new tip (new to you, at least!)

Mine: using the corner rounder on all the edges of the card. Especially on a one-layer card - really makes a huge difference!

Thanks (again) to everyone for sharing your talents!

Where is this link "Make a Child Smile.."? I would like to see it.

I had a fabulous time on Saturday and am still very excited about all of the cards that I walked out with!! EVERYONE had a wonderful card. I can't wait to do this again? Kathy, when are you going to do this again?

Kathy - I loved our location but forgot to mention that we could probably do this at a church and save money on the location.

Thanks again for all of the great cards!!

Brandi
Brandi,
Click on Bridgette's signature line where it says "Make a Child Smile". I'm so glad that Bridgette shared that with us--what a wonderful ministry!

You're very welcome, Beth! I hoped the receipient would enjoy it. I tried to get a variety of salty and sweet.

Default MAKE A CHILD SMILE

I am SO glad that you're looking at the MACS link! Lisa suggested I put it back in my signature line. I used to have it there and long story short: now it's back! The truth is MACS kids are why I wanted to start making my own cards. I sent a store bought card with a note inside, and some stickers to a child featured on the website. His mother took the time to send me a picture of that precious baby boy with NO HAIR!! God love his heart! And she told me that he kept my card under his pillow when he went in the hospital. It took like NO TIME to jot down a "feel-good" message, pop a sticker sheet inside, stick a stamp on and out the door! Less than $2 an I was able to comfort a child in one of the most difficult times of his life; a time I've never known! So this is absolutely something I am extremely passionate about! It's my dream to one day have a group to make cards for these kids each month. I tried before and called it the MAKE A FRIEND CARD CLUB but I didn't know a thing about stamping then. Anyway, if you truly want to make a difference, you can by checking out this website! It's not depressing, like some people have told me, at least not to me. It's just a chance for me to do something for someone else. I don't want any credit or glory for the things I do, and I hesitate to talk about it other than giving information about the website because it's all about those precious kids. They are my inspiration and my heros!! And a lot of them are my sweet little friends! One more quick story: My buddy Chase (now off the program due to improving so much! TG!!) sent me an e-card that said WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE? I cried!!!!! What a doll!!! My dh doesn't even ask that! LOL Seriously, though, it's one of the most rewarding things you can do and it is so simple!!!!
Okay! That concludes this novel! LOL
Hugs,
Bridgett

So.... what was your favorite new tip (new to you, at least!)

Mine: using the corner rounder on all the edges of the card. Especially on a one-layer card - really makes a huge difference!

Thanks (again) to everyone for sharing your talents!

The only technique I hadn't done before was the transparency, so I guess that would be my NEW favorite technique. But it was great to be re-introduced to techniques I haven't done for a long time.

Talking Jumping on your bandwagon about the awesome Sat. we had!

I, also, want to thank everyone for their friendliness, talent, and making me feel right at home. Each one of you lovely ladies brightened my day in so many ways, too numerous to count and I definitely look forward to our next swap! I know Cindy was snapping lots of pictures, maybe you can photoshop me to make me skinnier-ha ha, but hey, we all are sisters in stamping!! Thanks to Susan and Regina for keeping me on track of where I was at and what I was supposed to be doing, the girls from Kokomo have the best demo in Patti and the Indy Patti was awesome too-Ashley and Beth(s), Bridgett and Dawna-you all are the best! Sharon, Dorothy, my good friends, Randi and Carol made the day great too. Jane-so sweet to win my pizza door prize and Jade who came to meet us all and view the cards, Kathy and the rest of the committee, Jennifer taking the time to stitch holes in teeny tiny leaf punches-I apologize for forgetting the others, but you all played a very important part in the best day I've had since CKU August 2003!! And I could not forget Lisa, the TAC girl who we have a mutual friend-Susan, thank you again for my awesome door prize. My mom loved all the cards and has them all organized for me-next I'll be teaching some things to my church ladies this Saturday-12 are signed up so far!! Very talented and I am privileged to know and love 'ya SCSers! Take care girls!! Suetta

I was a really bad girl thanks to this week-ends get together. I used my 40% coupon at Hobby Lobby and bought a Cuttlebug. Plus I was able to get the snowflake folder and a swirly folder so I can make more snowflake and Santa's Bling cards.

Did Creative Resort go out of business?? I had it on my places to stop in and check out (for quite a while now) but I heard they are closed (closing). I wondered if any of you who had been there knew.
