"8/29/09" Sacramento Area Shoebox Swap Social (SASS)

Type of Swap: Large Group
Date: 8/29/09
Time: 10AM - 5PM
Where: Lamplighter Mobile Home Park Clubhouse
Off of I-80 and Madison Avenue
Cost: $10 (to be mailed) (PM for address when ready to pay)
Available Spots: 36, minimum of 25
** Note: We will still have the swap even if only a few people have signed up by the cut-off date.**
The theme is Holiday Cards.
Each person attending will bring a sample of a completed holiday themed card and kits of the sample to complete. The number of kits to bring will be determined after the close of the sign up period. All materials needed for the card will be placed in a baggie, and the baggies placed in a shoebox or basket to be brought to the swap.
For this swap, stamps may be used from any stamp company atendee chooses to use, such as: Stampin Up, A Muse Art Stamps, Close to My Heart, Hero Arts, Gina K., Papertrey, etc.
Cards may be made for these holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall, Christmas and Birthday.
**NOTE** I have eliminated the spring and summer holidays as no one has signed up for those holidays. We will now have Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall, Christmas and Birthday as the card choices.
When signing up, please indicate the holiday you will be making a card for. In order to guarantee a spot, please submit payment within one (1) week of sign up.
Each person should bring their own basic tool kit which will include: scissors, bone folder, adhesive, glue dots, pop dots or foam tape. May include any other tool that might be needed or useful. If a particular tool is needed for card, please indicate when signing up.
Swap will begin promptly at 10AM and conclude at 5PM or as soon as all cards are completed.
We will break at 1PM for a potluck lunch. There will be a separate sign up for the potluck. The hostess will provide all paper products and drinks.
Cut off date for sign up will be August 15th with a minimum of 25 sign ups. The hostess will then post as to how many card kits will have to be made.
Should there be a need to cancel, please inform hostess with a PM no later than August 22nd and a refund of $5 will be made. There will be NO refunds after that date.

Good Morning Everyone,
Hope you had a great 4th and the noise from the fireworks didn't keep you up all night. In our neighborhood, it seemed the fireworks went on for hours!! It would quiet down and then there would be more. Finally did get to sleep!!
So I have a question for you. Do you have to be a SU demo to attend this event?

Just a friendly reminder, that this swap is not only for those that are on SCS. If you have friends or family that are interested in attending they are more then welcome to attend. You/they will need to contact Betty or I with their information on attending or they can join scs and rsvp that way.
Hope you are enjoying your time away. I'm excited too to see a couple more people join us. I just emailed one friend of mine to see if she wants to come and I have another friend I'm going to email.
