Hello ladies...I got word back from Michelle Zindorf and she said she would need to schedule 2 works for the day to make the trip to Columbus worth while. Each workshop would be about 3 hours and can only be 10 people. I think she said the cost would be $100. Is that still something that you all would want to consider?? If so I will look at the conference rooms (which I am working on as we speak) and see if its do-able.

Is she charging $100/person or for a group of 10?

I think it would be worth it. That would only be $10 plus cost of the room for each HO. We could do half of us in the am and half in the pm. My vote would be yes!
Good morning ladies! Sooo jealous of all the pics of 'hos getting together!! I am SOO going to try and make it this summer.
KJ - yeah those digi-stamps sound like cheating to me too.
You guys are killing me with all the Anya links!! I don't have any yet and I'd like to keep it that way...Yoorah, your SS will be so lucky to receive that!

I just got another email from her and she only has the 25th open and the day we are getting the conference room for the shoebox swap is Sunday. I can see about getting it for Saturday also if there are 20 people interested in the class. She will not come unless we can schedule 2 3 hour classes at $100 each. It does look super neat though.
I bet there are more than just us Ho's that live around there and might want to do it. Do you have any LSS stores that might have the space and let their customers have slots if we can't fill them all.

That might be a good idea. I will check with Archievers which is right next door to the hotel we are looking at.
OK...so I am emailing back & forth with Michelle Zindorf and checking on availability for the conference room on that Saturday and then Sunday for the shoebox swap. Also going to see about Archievers for that Saturday to have Michelle do it there. If you would be interested in the class with Michelle please pm me so I can get a better count. She did say we get some goodies to keep if we do the class.
How's everyone doing??? Once again I am pages and pages behind and not even going to try to catch up!!! This weekend is wrestling divisionals but luckily they are here so won't have to travel for that one, but won't be on much this weekend because I will be so stressed from that!!!
The other night when I picked Larry up from pracitce I was giving him a bad time for being one of the last kids out of the locker room and he told me that was because the newspaper was interviewing him and 2 other freshman!!! He said it took like a 1/2 hour and she had 5 pages of notes!!! She told them it should be in the paper in the next week or so!!! Kinda exciting!!!
LauraJean, how's your sister doing? Did she have your neice yet??

Ahhh.. the 501st! That's a level of Hard Core that I don't grasp. Those trooper suits cost thousands of dollars to assmeble with 100% accuracy ( though the white ones are the cheapest ones to fabricate ).
Can't post member pic links from RS but it seems that it was Peter Mayhew on hand for autographs.. the Luke, Leia, etc were 501st people, as far as I can tell. Peter Mayhew was Chewbacca in Ep IV-VI. I thought I saw something about the guy who played Boba Fett ( whose name escapes me ) being there for one day, too. )
How cool that CI took the time to round up 501st folks CHA... the best part about it is that they ( the 501st ) don't make any profits for their appearances. It's always donated to a charity. The only monies they keep cover travel expenses when applicable.
If we had an extra 4K to blow, the local batallion would snap my DH up in a Commander Cody uniform in two seconds flat.... thankfully that is money, that if I have my way, will never become available. There's a point where the hobby crosses the line for me, and that's definitely it.

LOL!! Well said, Joy!
I think that you're in the wrong line of work... you should actively puruse teaching crafting courses. Your work is just as good, and more diverese.. you and Chris could retire in five years!

Careful, or else I'll hold you to that. ;)
I would MUCH rather spend a weekend with you, crafting and chatting up literary loves while enjoying some tasty tea than spend time with the King and Queen of Geekdom.
I'd be in great company and actually have fun, instead of looking for a window to fling myself from after hour number six in the Transformers marathon.
So if he goes through with it ( and absolutely NO offense to you, but I hope that he drops the idea ), everyone will hear abut it, and I'll do my best to omit the expletives.
