Hi Marci~ thanks for asking about Abby. :)

She is better but she hates her cough medicine so I battle with her to get it down. I think in a few days she will be just fine. She is sleeping quietly right now.

How are you?

I'm doing good. My MIL finally left last Friday (after being here for three weeks) and I am trying to get back into my normal routine. Noah has started coughing again as well and his nose has been running pretty bad but I think it's just from the weather changing here so much.

I'm sorry to hear that. There is so much sickness going around here it's unbelievable! Wishing you and your family well!

There's more too it, but i'm not interested in going into the details here... but it is a lot of fun bc they really get into their roles

sounds like a great lesson. I'm sure the students love it. Very cool!

hey gals. it's cold here tonight...and it never gets cold in Austin. I came out of a restaurant and there was ice all over my windshield. Weird because it was 75 at lunch today. Good night for cozying up!!

Just went through some of my swap cards, left overs, and ones I made at shoe box swaps, and realize I prob. had enough x-mas cards so don't have to make them. Had grand ideals but these'll prob. do ;)

I gained some weight within the past 2 weeks. I told myself that I will only buy anything craft related for every 5lbs that I lose.... (so no stamps, paper, embellies.... nothing!) on the bright side I have a well stocked room. But those Hanna sets are sooooooo tempting.

That's a darn good idea! Reward your successes and withold something for motivation... if you can stick to it, you'll find yourself doing an extra fifteen or twenty minutes a day anytime there's a release party around the corner. ;)

I woke up this AM to a blinking clock. It said 5:00 so the power had been on for five hours. I caught up on all my email and threads, went downstairs to start my tea and reset the clocks. About two minutes after I got them all set, power went out again.... Oh yeah, and elec stove, so had to wait for my tea, too! :( I am debating whether to bother setting them all again...

My ideal place would be someplace that I could wear flip-flops year round! Certainly not Kentucky:(

Alright, The NYC metro area Ho's are going to have a little get together in January. I don't htink I can wait til July anymore so I can settle for seeing part of the Ho Group. We're tentatively looking at Jan 18th ( a Saturday) anyone interested in coming over? Will u be in NJ?. It's low key, stamping and sharing images. If you're around let me know and your welcome to come over. PM me if you're interested and then I'll start arranging everything. Very informal gathering- perhaps a shoebox swap, but what we love most is sharing our stamps.

so far it will be me, scrappy, most likely jackie,
- other ho's nearby: Su, Bonnie, gael
-anyone else?

I know everyone else probably knows this already, but what exactly is a shoebox swap?

The 17th is a Sat and is open for me right now... :-D:-D:-D

daiseyfreak 12-10-2008 09:38 AM

Gael, it's like a card kit swap...but you put all the stuff in a shoebox, each person goes to each station and makes the card/project and keep rotating until you get them all done. You put all the stuff for one person in a bag (like paper, embellishments), and then have the supplies needed for the project in box (like stamp, ink pad, crop-a-dile)

daiseyfreak 12-10-2008 09:40 AM

oh, now except if you're me, you don't take a crop-a-dile all the way to Austin, and some cow gripes about having to use the old style way for eyelets

Then (the cow) gets slapped down by Scrappy! ;)
