I have been stamping for over 20 years. I don't keep every stamp--I really don't want hundreds of sets cluttering my brain and space. But I will never part with: Botanicals
Toile Blossoms
Fairy Nice
Fashion Statements
I'm sad I got rid of: Best of Cluck
Do you have favorites, or regrets?

I've been stamping for about 11 years and I'll never part with:
Toile Blossoms
Roses in Winter
Heartfelt Thanks
Ageless Adornment
Sets I sold, regreted and re-bought:
Ancient Art
Meow Meow
Bow Wow
Flashy Florals (my very first stamp set)
Oriental Garden
and maybe a few others I can't remember right now.
I've learned my lesson about selling stamp sets. I've decided to unmount the sets I know I will keep.
Unfrogettable (are you surprised? ;))
Wild Rose
Heartfelt Thanks
Small Script
Essence of Love
Lovely as a Tree
And my backgrounds
Print Pattern
Canvas
French Script
Also, I can't imagine that I would ever want to get rid of Medallion, but I've only had it a year so it hasn't stood the test of time yet

I've been stamping since 1990 and won't part with um... the vast majority of my stamps!! But my two favourite SU! stamp sets that I definitely would never part with are:
Etre Heureux (French version of Be Happy)
and
Notes de bureau (French version of Office Accoutrements?)
ETA:
Oh! Regrets! No regrets whatsoever. I got rid of a lot of the sappy sentiments (in English) that came with a lot of the sets. I couldn't stand looking at them every time I used a set that included a sappy sentiment. I don't regret getting rid of those!! <shudder>

I agree with getting rid of sappy sentiments--like 'Embrace Life'. Sometimes I wonder if the 'sentiment makers' ever send a card??

I totally forgot about backgrounds!
Better add:
Canvas
Print Pattern
French Script
I like your taste in backgrounds!
Oh yes, regrets. Mostly I regret that I didn't buy certain sets. I just got Wildlife Reserve and am so excited to get it! I also regret that I didn't get DD Daisy and Angler.
At first I regretted buying Forest Friends. I never used it. But now I know so many people having babies and it has been perfect.
I almost never get rid of stamp sets, so I dont have any regrets there!
Sketch It (my 1st stamp set ... got it for the sunflower yet I use the heart most!)
Sincere Salutations
A Beautiful Season
O Tanenbaum
Sanded (background)
Touch of Nature
and just about all of the many, many sets I own (as well as many, many of the non-SU stamps I own; I've already traded/sold/gifted the stamps that I could part with and am much more selective in my purchases)

I really needed that heart last week for a wedding card. Either I sold it or I just can't find it. Either way, I miss that heart!

It's my favorite heart image of all time. I hope your set turns up ... it doesn't seem as popular as other older sets and can sometimes be found at a low price.
I have been stamping for about five years. I wouldn't part with any of my stamps. I am a person who believes, if you part with it, two days later you will remember why you got it and how urgent it is to get it back. lol.
bg: Floral, French Script
sets: Voile, Loads of Love, Stipple Rose, Fishin - I could go on and on
Stamping for eight years - have not sold any - so no regrets!
I won't part with any of my sentiments or verses now as I've already gotten rid of the ones I regret buying.

Regrets: None. I've become much better at using the stuff I have instead of hoarding so when I actually get rid of something, it's because I haven't used it in FOREVER.
I went above and beyond once to get a stamp set that had retired (can't remember which one...tells ya sumthin', eh?) and then proceeded to let it collect dust on the shelf until I sold it. This was back in the beginning, mind you. Yup, back in the day...3 years ago...*snort*.
I'm still sick about getting rid of 'Best of Cluck'! I sold it one day when I was in a major dejunking mode. It went quick and I am sure I made someones day.

hmmmm...I wonder if you sold it to me? I love it and will keep it too. I do see it now and again on the buy/sell list here.

Ahh, who am I kidding? I will never part with ANY of my stamps. I learned my mistake about four years ago when I sold several of my sets. I have since bought back (through e-bay, garage sales, etc.) about half of them. Once my boys go back to college and dh goes back on the road (or at least out of the house), I'm going to start unmounting my sets. I have to make room for new ones!
I'm pretty cutthroat with my stamps. As soon as I find I'm not pulling them I sell them off. I have only regretted a few, and not majorly either. (Polkadot background thingie from PTI, I rebought it but in Polkadots TWO like that made it ok that I had replaced a set? haha)
I know, however, that I will never ever trevor sell my Pocket Silhouettes set. I love it more than any other stamp set I've ever used. I think I could use nothing but Pocket Silhouettes for months and be happy.
I have other sets I suspect I'll be keeping, but I can't say for sure because I do like to sell stamps too. Some of my greatest phrase sets I don't see ever selling. I'm not selling that danged polkadot one again! haha. I can't see selling my Hero ARts woodgrain stamp, but you never know.
Pocket Silhouettes is the only one that I know they will have to rip from my cold dead hands.

I love SCS! I just got a PM from a sweet person. She was selling 'Best of Cluck', I bought it at a very fair price. Thank you friends!!!

I have sold one set, which means that I have at least 90 left. I could quite easily lost a few of the ones I have, especially those that I got for free (hostess, SAB).
If I had to get rid of all but 10 0f my sets , I would keep
Lovely as a tree
Wild Rose
Noble Deer
Delightful Decorations
Fantastic Foliage
Heard from the Heart
Short and Sweet
Watercolour Garden II

I had forgotten about this one...just got it on eBay for $13! I can't wait to use it!
I adore:
Bow Wow
Fantastic Foliage
Roughin It
Polar Bears
Penguin Pals.
The funny thing is that my husband bought those sets for me from ebay. He scoured ebay a couple of years ago and selected them because we hike and camp a lot, we have a dog, and I love polar bears and penguins. I didn't even know any of those sets existed as they retired before I ever found Stampin Up. It was a very thoughtful Christmas gift.
Current sets - I love my Silhouette Florales (French version of Pocket Silhouette) and Circles Circus.
I don't get rid of stamps, and probably won't until my craft room bursts, so I have no regrets.

That is the sweetest thing EVER. Honestly it brought a tear to my eye!
