I am an SU demonstrator presently and a former Creative Memories consultant. I love them both. This is the most awesome site for stampers but I would like to know if there is anything comparable (or close to it) for Creative Memories - a forum that is. If you know, please share. I need some new ideas and since I can't get on the consultant site anymore, I need a good forum to share ideas on. Thanks for any help any of you awesome stampers/scrappers out there can offer. Bonnie
one I use to visit a lot is www.scrapshare.com it use to be another site and it moved to this, it has layouts and swaps and talking and a little bit of everything, it has a consultant forums also but anyone can view it...I hope this helps

Whether your a Creative memories Consultant or just a customer like me..I would recommend joining the Yahoo Groups..It's great, there is a swap group that allows you to swap products and articles for you scrapbook such as journaling boxes and borders. Just go to www.groups.yahoo.com click on "Hobbies and Crafts" then in the search box type "Creative Memories". Tons of groups will come up, I belong to CM Product Swap and CM Swamp and Ideas. It's fun and simple!
Isn't www.twopeasinabucket.com a CM site? I know someone from here (Joleenieweenie?) was a member there, too, and posted about some fonts available from there once. I got sort of "lost" because I'm not familiar w/CM stamp sets at all. I hope you find what you're looking for!

2 Peas is an independently online scrapbook store with its own online community/forums, similar to SCS. Quite extensive galleries, all brands of products and mediums featured on the samples posted.
Their BB is somewhat restrictive, IMHO; I left when I got slapped on the hands for providing a link to my gallery in my signature line and for posting in the interest of sharing the link--just to share ideas, even tho it was NOT a retail site and not an SU! sponsored site--just a gallery with nothing being offered for sale. They are very adamant about this.
They warned me with a threat to take away my membership from their site. I decided I didn't want to be a part of it anyway, if merely having my gallery link in my signature was considered a serious violation of policy. I understood completely about not posting a link to my SU! biz site or other retail sites, etc. But a gallery? Dunno. Seemed highly restrictive to me, so I left.
BUT, what also didn't make a lot of sense to me was that there were more than a few "other company" demonstrators who DID have links to their biz sites in their signatures and very blatant "soliciting of sales" and none of them seemed to be receiving that kind of treatment from 2 Peas . . . While I don't know for fact that I was "targeted", it sure felt that way?
CM = Creative Memories, a direct sales company specializing in scrapbooks, tools, accessories, stickers, papers, etc. but they do not have a stamp line in any way, to my knowledge. They are most famous for their strap-hinge albums and for their circle/oval cutting system.

Julie - Thanks for the correction! I was thinking CTMH for some reason, and I got them mixed up with CM. I remember being given that website addy last July after Convention, because I was looking for a Navy stamp set. CTMH had one, but it was in acrylics. I would love to see Stampin Up come out with four stamp sets in the Navy, Air Force, Marines and Army categories for those of us with family that either serve now, or have served before!

Don't ya just wonder how many of these topics Daven reads??? And what he must think of these crazy ladies with nothing better to do than chat and talk stamping. LOL
No Julie, but you have something Daven needs more than a dog-a crown. Certainly by now you *KNOW* that buckethat needs replacing. I think he has been eyeing your crown for quite a while, and just saw his opportunity.
be afraid.
be very afraid.

Bonnie - here are some scrapping sites that I periodically visit.
Thanks so much to miss missy, aslangirl and Karen for the sites. Also to Emily for the Yahoo suggestion - I had only been to the Canadian Yahoo site and there wasn't much there, but found LOTS on the US site! A further note of thanks to Julie HRR and Daven for the comic relief - for a minute there I though you'd hijacked my thread, but it came back - you two are NUTS! Bonnie

5ish hours to Vancouver, BC via the Coquihalla Hwy (#5) - we call it the Coca Cola Hwy because it was too difficult for the kids to say. Then 1 hour to the border, then the border x-ing wait, then to Bellingham, doesn't look very far on my map, maybe an hour. Stop into to visit LisaLisa and Pam (LisaLisa will introduce you). Then onto Mount Vernon and over to Anacortes and then onto Whidby Is. Can't tell by my map if there is a bridge/hwy or if it's a ferry. Or does she get a ferry from somewhere else direct to your place, Julie.
Bellingham is about one hour and a half /45 min.from Coupeville. She would take Deception Pass Bridge (to jump from Anacortes/Fidalgo Island) to Whidbey Island.
So, she's looking at roughly a 7 hour drive, by my guess?

You might want to check out subscribing to the new CM magazine. It has lots of ideas for those who like to scrapbook the "CM way". You can find a link to the subscription information from their website and then click on "what's new". Since CM doesn't let you post pictures of page layouts on the internet, there is not many sites for seeing CM page layouts. I don't even think major scrapbooking magazines are allowed to post page samples that use CM products. I love that I'm always seeing SU stuff in the major stamping magazines. Makes me rush out and call my demonstrator to buy more stamps!

Yes, roughly. It really depends on how long it will take her to get through the border crossing. Last time I drove south of the 49th parrallel the conversation with the border guard was:
guard: Hi, where you kids headed?
us: Spokane
guard: Are you Canadian citizens?
us: Yes
guard: May I see your picture ID?
us: (gave our licenses for him to look at)
guard: How long you gonna stay?
us: Just for the day.
guard: Do you have anything to declare?
smart@ss brother: don't know, will let you know when we return
guard: (laughing) OK Have a good time.
I concur that this is the one I spend most of my other online time at. They have forums where the layouts are stored. It doesn't have the same gallery feature as this site. Which is awesome BTW!
Miss Missy and Anthrogirl: I check out Scrapshare and it is awesome. Not as good as SCS, but then who could ever measure up? Nonetheless, I was glad to find a good site for CM layouts. Thanks again, you guys! Bonnie
