Default Craft Stores in Anaheim CA?

I will be attending a conference in Anaheim CA and have some free time on Wed, July 21 (at least the afternoon) and wanted to check out some craft stores. Staying near the Convention Center. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Restaurants I must try? Probably not going to Disney Land, not enough available time.

Thanks.

Downtown Disney is a must - shopping, eating, street performers, etc - and it's located outside of Disneyland so it is free (except for what you spend!)

I disagree that DD is meh, if you live in Anaheim, maybe, but not for someone from out of town. It's a fun touristy place to spend a couple hours and wander around. Going alone might not be as fun as going with a group, though. No crafting places there though.

And for someone who is unfamiliar with how big Orange, Anaheim, and the surrounding area are, getting around can be a bit intimidating, unless you are with someone who knows the area well. Especially if you only have a bit of time in the afternoon on one day.

Valerie you are wonderful... it's like you are in my head. Scarey!! Yes DD (trying to pick up the California lingo) sounds great for me and not meh (I have never seen it written out and when I read it I went.. huh?) at all for me. I will not have a car and just a bit of time off and on. Thanks so much for the input.

Thank you Rubber Trucker... I know when you live somewhere and see stuff all the time you think who would possibly ever want to go there? I often am amazed by people in my town that never check out any of the local "touristy spots" unless family or friends visit. Or when I lived in Texas and met people who had never been out of the state and didn't really want to either. :-) Thanks for the response. I was hoping something would be walkable from the Convention Center.
