Oooh...that's pretty...I'm sure some talented person on here could replicate it. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that gets inspiration from home linen catalogs. Every time I get my Brylane catalog, I rip out pages that I think I want to try to duplicate. Good luck and if anyone does replicate this beautiful print....please post!!!
So I looked at the pic, and went and played. Not owning any sword leaf stamps or iris type stamps, I improvised and just went with it. I looked at the inspiration photo once, in the beginning, wrote down the approx color squares, and just went for it. This is what I came up with after messing around for an hour.
Wish I had time right now to play with this but gotta get to work. Valerie did such an Awesome job- wow! I love getting inspiration from various things, especially clothing. I have a few pajamas, etc. in mind that just are waiting to be a card! LOL! One of the magazines recently had an article on getting your layout from food packages. I think this would make a fun weekly challenge- I would start it but I think we probably have all of the days covered already. LOL! The challenges are fun and inspiring....kudos to those who keep them going! Sorry to get a little OT!
Val, you're killing me here!! That's gorgeous!!! I love these kinds of challenges. I often look at a art for inspration... we should do these all the time! Lol!!!

Why? Because this is the closest I will ever come to having ANY part of such a beautiful card! hahaha ;-D
Valerie - I have to tell you that yours is the first "oh my goodness, look what you can do with stamps" gallery I came across, and I have always loved your style. I think half of your cards are in my favorites file! Thanks so much for playing!
Now I wonder if anyone else will rise to the challenge after that?!
Great job, Val. Oh, the interesting places to get inspiration. I saw a piece in one of the stamping magazines on using the fronts of food boxes for ideas in layout designs. Not an SU stamp, but the Penny Black iris stamp would work well in this piece I think.

I'm slow on the draw to add my WOWs to this... I've been busy moving...
but I was looking through one of my favorite galleries this morning and saw this creation, wanted to see where she got her inspiration this time!
This is absolutely gorgeous!
I have wanted to do a 9 tile wall arrangement for just over a year from art seen in a hotel room we stayed in on Daydream Island last year... its funny how we look at everything with a stamping eye now! In the fall I was telling my husband to look at the way the trees were coloured and layered~ he thought I was looking at it for our landscaping! ...I was trying to figure out how I could re create it with stamps and cloud stencils!
Thank you always Valerie, for sharing your gorgeous stuff with us and for giving me such pleasure just sifting through your gallery!
smiles and laughter,
Laurie
Holy Moly Crapsticks!!! for me, too! That is just unbelievable! Awesome job. I'm going to have to look and look and look at it again. FANTASTI-RIFIC JOB!
