Default You've Got This

Can anyone tell me when and why you would use the sentiment "Youve got this" on a card. It doesn't make sense to me.

To encourage someone by saying they have enough education, experience, courage, skills, etc. to make it through whatever trial (illness, final exams, job interview, kids acting up, house fire, etc.) they are facing. That is my take on using that phrase that is "newer".

What Arlene said, also like saying "You can handle this" or "Even if you're worried, you'll be okay." It's support and encouragement for sure!
