What is your favorite technique? Mine is definitely emboss resist. Please explain why you love your technique so much below! If you don't see yours, it's because I can only fit 10 per poll! I'd love to hear it though, so please explain I think this is a fun way to learn new techniques!

I picked emboss resist, but crayon resist works for the same reason... SUPER EASY. I don't have a lot of patience for many of the techniques, so these work well for me.
I picked anything faux, cause I faux stitch on just about everything!! I wonder though, what is the Susan? I haven't heard of it.
I learned it at my first SU workshop. It's mainly used with flowers, but you stamp the flower once, and slightly rotate it and stamp it again without re-inking. it gives the flower a very very very nice soft natural look i think it's my second favorite technique
haha wierd. yeah i got it today! i meant to PM you, actually...i got caught up in the cardmaking moment let me know when you get yours. i'll add you to my great trades now while i'm thinkin about it

Hmmmmmm....I was thinking it was the susan, but I've been wrong once or twice...or maybe more...lol:cool:. But you know the Donna does sound really familar.
Well, I'm convinced that she SAID "Susan" because it reminded me of somoene I know...BUT who knows...I may be wrong...but I definitely didn't know anyone name Donna back then to cling into my memory. BUT I may be crazy, or either our Demo was lol

I voted for anything faux because you don't need any special materials. After all, I do hostess the Limited Supply Challenge ;) This week is a faux free-for-all! :-D The link is in my sig line.

I'm with you Jen. I love the LSC. Faux postage is my very favorite!
I picked kissing, but only because it was one of the techniques that really "wowed" me when I first saw it...it helped me to look at a lot of the sets I already had in a different light...fun poll!
I didn't vote since my favorite technique isn't up on the list. THERE ARE SO MNAY TECHNIQUES OUT THERE.Mine is using stazeon ink on white glossy paper.using the primamry colors.stamp the white glossy paper randomly on white glossy paper.wipe off with a tissue.then stamp an image in black ontop of that.the results are so awesome.
I am using this technique in my rolodex swap.which is a technique swap.a-z techniques you can have right at your fingertips but small enough to fit right on your rolodex.it's so convenient and takes up very little space.still have 4 more openings if anyone is interested.

i voted for anything faux and my other favorite is soot stamping i have made so many cards with the soot stamping and everyone loved them that i gave them to
I picked "kissing" but only because I probably do that technique more than the others, although I also do "that girl's name" technique, whatever it is (I've never heard it called either; didn't even know it had a name, lol).
Thanks for starting this thread though - I'm in a rut and need some inspiration. I'm intrigued by the stazon on glossy posted above - now I'm anxious to try that!

Right now I am into "Heated Pearls" which was this weeks tutorial -- so much fun -- and you get such absolutely gorgeous results -- I can't wait to try more -- so far this week I've only created "copper" and "sheet metal" -- it was easy, fun, and I loved the results that yield such a high degree of texture. They are both made into Father's Day cards in my gallery. I am so grateful for that tutorial -- thanks SCS!!! -- Sharon

I voted for cracked glass because it's one I've tried most recently and thought it was so fun. I see a few things in this post I'm going to have to try. But 1st I need to know what some of them are!
?What's kissing? Well, actually I know what kissing is but don't know how to kiss with my stamps!;)
I like cracked glass 'cause it's easy, and it's such a cool effect. It's right up my alley, I love how it makes your card look old. Plus, it's fun to crack it!
kissing is a GREAT technique! its where you stamp a stamp onto another stamp, so to speak. for example. if i have a big solid circle and i wanted to make it look like canvas, i would ink up the canvas stamp...touch the rubber to the rubber and stamp the circle. here's a really nice example from makij's gallery where she kissed the U stamp and the Cheesecloth...it's one of my favorite kissing cards. I'm LOL - I too was wondering - the "Susan"??? then the "Donna"??? I'd always called that Stamping Off - LOL.
I hadta' laff, too. For us old timers, "stamping off" has been around for years (OK, decades . . . eek!), but give it a new name and it cycles back into popularity again! Where's my good friend Miss Clairol?????!!! Hah!

Thanks SweetCarolineSC! Now I get it. I searched the Techniques forum and saw a short thread about it but the visual from the example card you referenced makes total sense now. Off to try kissing!
