I'm new to the site and although I should be cleaning up after my almost one year old twins (while they nap) I am laughing hysterically over all of these posts.
you know your addicted when you are leaving the house for a stamp night and your dh asks if "this is a purchase night"...
you are about to move into a 4BR home, and instead of giving your 3 kids seperate rooms, you make your boys share a room so you can have a scrap room!!!!
You mean...I'm not the ONLY one!! Whew! We moved to a 4 BR house 2 yrs ago and I put my two boys (who are only 21 mos apart and have always shared a room) in the BIG BR, my DD got her own room and my hubby and I have the master BR which isn't very big but is connected with a big bathroom. I have my office/stamp room centrally located in the middle BR.
Boy...reading this sounds like I'm making excuses, but no one's complaining yet! I figure when the boys' hit their preteens they will want their own room. But they're NOT getting my stamping room!!!
BTW...I have another...You know you're addicted when the stripes on your undies help you color coordinate your next project!

When you see the JC Penney ad on TV and think, Wow, that Looks like little squares of EggPlant Envy punched with the square punch and spaced out on black cardstock & isn't that cute how they used that Green Galore & tempting Turquoise as accent colors, I never would've thought of that!
How about when your husband walks into your stamp room, sees all the stamp sets, and asks when your customers are going to come and pick all their stamp sets!!!!!!!!!!!! UH OH!!!!!!!!

What's wrong with that?!?! I told my husband that when we buy our house this summer I don't care how many rooms it has as long as one is for my stuff! We have all boys, they can all share a room for all I care!
you know you are addicted to stamps when....you look at the world in a color pallette that only includes 48 colors or shades there of ( you describe things to friends like " it was just darker than Barely Banana..." )
Or when your 9 yr old son talks to his friends in SU colors! Yup....the color of the paint they were using was Brilliant Blue (and the other kid told him that his mom buys SU!) LOL
....when you're on bedrest per doctor's orders and your bathroom privilege turns into a quick peek at the forums to sign up for swaps so you can make cards while in bed. : )
When in Las Vegas you spend $50 round trip taxi to go to a stamp store, then find the store empty. Happy ending, called the store, they answered and explained they had moved and began to give me directions on how to get there. I explained that I had come by taxi (which had left) and she said, "I'll come and get you" and she did. Las Vegas Art Stamps, a beautiful store.
When we were leaving to evacuate from hurricane Ivan we stopped to chat with a neighbor. He speculated on what would happen to my stamps if the hurricane got to them.
.....ok, you know YOU'RE really addicted when it's the NEIGHBOR speculating on what would happen to YOUR stamps & that neighbor is a HE!!!!!
these have all been so great & oh so true!!!!!! great topic!!!!!!
AND: you know you're addicted to SCS when you should have been in bed a LONNNNNNNNNG time ago but are still on this site way after your butt has fallen asleep on the chair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OR... When you're sitting at work, rearrange your desk so the boss can't see what's on your computer screen, and sit and read the forums of SCS all day... or at least between answering phone calls...
