So, after selling some stuff around the house and participating in a consignment sale, I had $150 to spend on SU! stuff! So I decided to ask a few friends if they wanted to order anything so I could put it in as a 'real show and maybe get some more free stuff...my consultant said she would give me a free stamp set in addition to the hostess set if I reached $200, so I thought 'why not try?'....
I emailed my friends, 4 of them decided to order and with their orders.........I made it to......$404!!!!!!!!
So I get the Art of Life Set!!!!! I cant believe it! I really didnt think it would be possible!!!
Just wanted to share my 'HAPPY DAY!' moment with you guys! =0)
That's awesome, Anna! Gotta love the free stuff! Art of Life is a beautiful set...I'm jealous! Maybe I should start cleaning out the storage rooms, kids dresser drawers, etc., and have a sale too.

I got $34 from a consignment sale and then $50 from the same sale from last fall (i had forgotten to get my $ from her then) plus I have sold a few pair of really nice shoes, some homemade card sets to my mom and some Usborne books (I sell them and have WAY too many) and some misc kid/baby items...I still cant believe I did that well!!
I had a show last Nov...I ordered about $250, my mom did just over $100 and the show topped out around $500, so I actually did a bit better this time because I didnt order as much myself =0)

I gotta start doing that--I don't really need that stove, and heck, if I don't have to cook, maybe sell the dishwasher.....humm...endless possibilities!!

HA! too funny Jackie....we really dont need the toilet either...outhouses would work just fine....and I can start using a washboard and line drying my clothes.....

Only one problem with that...it would take so much time to wash your clothes you'd not have time for stamping! Personally, I'm just going to start spraying ours with Febreeze until they get too dirty looking and then they are going in the trash...eventually we'll run out of clothes but then we'll just have to stay in - brown delivers to the door and I'm sure I can rig something from empty SU boxes to cover those important areas!
Congrats on the show! I love getting free stuff too! And I have to do some serious decluttering around here - maybe a garage sale is in my near future! YEAH! More cash for stamps!

I'm hoping to be in the same boat as you on Friday. I decided to have a second party in two months, just because I really wanted the card demo, and my demo isn't doing workshops anymore -- so if I wanted one, I had to book a party.
I invited 9 ladies, thinking I might get 2 or 3 of them to come, but now all 9 are coming!!! :shock:
I'm trying not to count my chickens before they hatch, but I admit I am looking at the chart and wondering how much I could get for free! :lol:
Ha Ha! Reminds me of how I got the money to do SU in the first place! I cleaned out the basement and sold a ton of stuff on ebay and used the $$$ to buy stamps! Here I am several years later, jam packed with stamps and not as much junk in the basement! Worked for me!

Who needs an out house when you can just purchase depends and not even leave your work station!! :shock: ( Sorry, I just had to throw that in! I was up tooooo late last night reading the thread "you know your addicted when..." and saw that one and wished I'd been wearing a pair! I just lost it!! :lol: )
