It would not deter me but I am a very trusting person. I saw some one sell a big lot of stamps for some amazing amounts of money!! I have debated on selling some stamps on there in a big lot since I saw the amount of money this one person received. ALso, it would be wonderful to mail everything to just one person!! Good luck whatever you do!!
I would, but then, I've never bought SU products before, and am not picky about brand names *shrug* I'd be more interested in buying a nice collection of cs ;)
I buy most of my cs in individual sheets, not incl the basics, like black and white. My tastes change too often, and I have limited space to store a lot.
I sold the in colors from last year on there. Some were opened packs and some weren't. Nobody seemed to mind. I just made sure I packaged it carefully so it didn't get bent on the corners.

I know. One of my fears is the corners being bent during shipping. :???:
Usually when I mail cs I place recycled manila folders (the ones where the written label has been crossed out so much you can't label it again) for protection.
I use one full folder on each of the long sides and cut a third folder in half for the top and bottom. I use masking tape to hold the folders in place (it is easier to remove so there is less likely to be damage done to the cs while trying to open it).
Also, I make sure to use crumpled up paper (again, recycled) or bubble wrap to surround all sides of the package within the mailing box.
I bought lot of papers from eBay.. I think most people are looking mainly at the price (and realistic shipping fee) - be sure you put a good picture in the listing (most people don't like to buy what they can not see) and communicate with buyers....
Oh, now I'm getting mad when thinking about one seller - bought the stamp pads more than 2 weeks ago, she finally answered my repeated emails 3 days ago - and said she just shipped them that day - now not answering my email again :mad:

Because I missed out on last year's In Colors (new to SU) I've bought some of my SU cardstock from eBay. I haven't had any problems with the full packages or the loose sheets. So I say, go for it
Mail them in a priority box, and they should be fine.
I would just be sure to put them in one of the rectangular priority boxes. I had an experience with someone on SCS where I ordered a lot of old cardstock from her and she shoved them into one of the taller, less long priority boxes and almost all of the paper had bent corners. But I don't think that would be a problem with the longer flat rate box.
i have found that selling things in lots on EBay works well, for all items, not just SU. I have sold childrens' books this way.
Shipping is pretty $$ so buyers get more for their money.
Maybe you can sell them in color families.

That's what DH thinks I should do, too. It would be easier in color families and then people wouldn't be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of paper. ;)
Plus, he thinks I'll get more money by breaking them up into color families. ;) I sold most of my SU stamps on ebay, so I have 100% good feedback for that, but I've never sold paper before.
I almost always buy SU! stuff on eBay. Shipping is cheaper and faster, LOL. Then again I buy a lot off of eBay, anyway, not just SU. I would prefer buying cardstock in color families, good for me, not good for you as you would probably be stuck with the not so desirable colors.
I have bought and sold (not the same papers!) SU cardstock on ebay, and as long as you are accurate with your description, I don't think it would be a problem. I think most people are just looking for a good deal and don't care if it's NIP or not.
If you want to maximize the money you make, I would not sell it a large lot. I would sell them in packages of 12 (one of each color), 24 or 36 by color family. I think a lot of ebayers may like the option of getting one of each color instead of an entire pack of 36, as they would get if purchased directly from SU. If you packaged by color family, you could take odd leftovers and auction those as grab packs.
I would also recommend repackaging the paper in crystal clear bags or some other type of packaging (perhaps even a manilla envelope...although that would be more expensive than the clear bag). People aren't going to want their paper loose and moving around in the box.

I have purchased SU papers on ebay and paid quite a bit for some, esp the retired in-colors. I've never had any problems and would certainly purchase again. Let us all know when you decide to post them...it sounds like you have a lot of people here who are interested!!!

Selling combos is an idea ~ a whole lotta work for me and a pain in the butt to sell and list (each listing costs money) each individual pack....not to mention all the shipping supplies it would take to break them up.
Would you buy SU paper off ebay?
