Default Word window punch?

For those of you that have memorized your new catalogs already , where are some samples using the word window punch from pg. 218? It is an interesting punch, but I need to see some samples to understand it.
Thanks!

I have the same question. One of the things I like about the catalogue are all the "tips" but I wish the products themselves had a few explanations!!

I was wondering if the word window could be used for making slider cards. It would make it alot faster to make them.

Page 17 on Peace Card - folded over with a metal accent
looks like page 21 on scrapbook page - look at the dangling tag
page 45 on the Joy scrap page
page 64 on the fun filled card holding the ribbon
page 88 on the Baby Scrap page
page 126 DD Scrap page
page 157 looks like it was punched on the tag
page 213 could be used on the card with the "friend"

I'm sure I've missed some....

Thanks for the clues! Not to be a complete dolt, but since you seem super knowledgeable, are there certain word sets designed to fit this punch??? I may have missed that in the catalog. Thanks

Seems to me (from Lisa's samples) that this is to be used mostly as a 'tag' punch. And for use with all the Flexible Phrases. Darn! I was hoping it was more for use with Wonderful Words.

Thanks! This helped a bunch. I really like the way it shows the tag folded over.

Looks to me like they do more journaling with it - the smaller phrase stamps would also work well

That's what I thought it was for when I saw it. It would have to be punched twice to get the length needed.

Lisa:

About your list...in the SU cattie, the only one that you mentioned that actually uses the punch (according to the recipes in the back of the catty) is the Peace card on page 17. The rest do not list the punch as you've mentioned. I'm just pointing this out because I think that the punch is much smaller than we're imagining...only big enough to fit a little word from the EFP sets.

If you check out the scrapbook page on P. 124, it's used in the corner of the photo, and this is listed in the recipe in the back.

Hope that helps!

The recipes in the back of the catty don't always include everything used - from past experience....The punches shown in the catty are pretty true to size....If someone has a SAM - maybe they can email them and ask them which pages really have samples using the punch. To me, I just posted what looked like the use of the punch. I don't know why SU would sell something that they didn't have many samples of using it...JMO

A bunch of us wondered the same thing. We dug through the catty and didn't see it used as an actual "word" "window". It appears to be more of a tag. Did anyone see it used as a window to actually frame a word?

If you punch consecutively along the bottom of a card I think it would make spinner cards much easier, plus I think it could be used with Simple Sayings and Sassy Sayings. Now not all will fit, but at least two from each set.

I just ordered this today, I couldn't pass it up. I am hoping it works well with the Everyday Flexible Phrases as I use that set a lot. I was also thinking if it were folded maybe it could be used as a hinge, with a brad on the end(s).
