If I took classes or went to workshops from 2 demonstrators I would buy from both of them. I always have a list of things I want. I think it's unfair to learn something from one demo and buy from another demo or heaven forbid, from ebay. No you are not the property of any of them. it's just what seems right to you.

Sure, you can have more than one demo - but may I suggest that you pick one as your ''main contact'' and let the others know, so that you don't have all of them paying to send you catalogs?

I give or send my customers a catalog but only if they have ordered a certain amount from me in the past year so yes, some demos do give away catalogs.

Does your demo not do that for you? Shame :( Especially if you order from her regularly.... Another reason I signed up and NOT under my demo.....

I just paid her $13 for a Fall/Winter catty that took almost a month to get. I think I need a new demo...

Just curious - why was it $13? Did she have to mail it to you?

Just a word about being a demo. There are many "level" of participation as a demo. Some are demos just for the discount and some are in it for the career. I'm somewhere in the middle. Stampin' Up! as a corporation allows the freedom for us to choose how to run our business as best for US within the contract guidelines.

I have a full time job, kids, active in my kids activies, etc. I only do one event at my home once a month because that is what works best for me and my customers. I will do workshops if requested. But I still want to have time for my family. I barely break even with the time I do put in. I don't give away the store, but do "reward" my loyal customers.
Tthe only thing we do not pay for is the hostess benefits detailed in the catalog on orders over $150. So anything we "give" you as 'freebies" comes from our pocket. I personally can't afford to do many specials and I still feel I provide better service and quality to my customers than a large chain craft store.

Sorry to be such a downer, but this thread had way to much demo bashing for me.
