Yes, I've done it again! I just HAD to have this awesome amazing retired set called FOR THE LOVE OF CHOCOLATE! I got it from a fellow stamper on the bst board and it came yesterday! I love it!!! It's to die for!
I have also HAD to have Dreams and Dragons (got it!)....
Just added to my must have collections and got STELLA STAMPER!
I want penguins, polar bears, and hedgehogs now too! I saw a Monkey Business set on ebay for $42!!!! Glad I grabbed that one when I did!
So what retired stamp sets do you MOST covet or do you have that are prized possessions????

I really want Courage & Honor. My husband retires from the military in about 9 months and I really wanted to do a scrapbook for him and thought that would be perfect, but it appears that noone is prepared to give their up ... SIGH ...

Can I list two? For me it is Botanicals and Wonderful Wings. Don't EVEN get me started on all of the wonderful sets that I've purchased from the mini's (i.e. Mixed Bouquet, Monkey Business, etc.) that may or may not make it.
Scouts at Play for me.
When my son had just started Cub scouts and my DH heard me talking about the set with a friend & about how much I wanted it - he asked her to secretly bid on it on Ebay for me. It was under the Christmas Tree! I was shocked/ surprised - My husband usually is not a gift giver..EVER ! I got it Christmas 2004 - I dont think I'll ever give it up !
I do not keep retired sets-except for Yeehaw. ;)
My friend bought it for me to make her adoption announcements with and I make a card for her son with it for his b-day each year. I just can't get rid of it-there is no other cute cowboy set that can be used for scrapbooks, cards, etc. I love it!

Mine is Paint Prints (does that count as retired?) It is my all time favorite set and was so disappointed that it didn't make it into the catalog last year. Whenever I need a quick sympathy card this is the set that gets pulled off the shelf. I don't think I'll ever part with it.
Hmm...I've never heard of some of thse. I'll have to keep an eye out.
My favorite is Asian Art.

Paint Prints, Snow Angels, and On the Beach are retired sets I reach for a lot. There are some sets from last summer's mini that I'm really kicking myself for not getting - Monkey Business, Take Shape, Walk this Way, and the Animal Alphabet from the Spring mini. I really wish I'd snapped those up when I had the chance.

Mine were Bontanicals and Fresh Flowers for a while, but I absolutely love Fly Fishing. We do a lot of boating and fishing in the summer so that's always the one I grab first, then it's Tractor Time, since my DH restores old farm tractors, we just had to have that one....and I got it free for my vest card being published last May in SS. Yippee for free stuff.

My favorite retired stamp is the "Script" background. It has the Irish blessing in script print. I don't know when it retired but it's been at least a couple of years.
Hmm, I don't use them very often, but I won't give them up - Gone Fishin' (I had someone try to sell me one for $80 when I got this one for much less!), Courage & Honor, Girl Power, Flutterbys.
Oh sunny seasons greetiings TOTALY. I still haven't gotten my hands on it..one day I will i hope.
Snow globe, dreams & dragons,(have those) monkey business, on the farm (want those). Those are the ones that I alway see going for mega bucks. There is a cowboy one too that I saw go on eb** for over $100.
CRAZY!
I just started stamping last March, so there are a lot of neat sets I missed out on. I did just recently acquire Gifts of Spring, which I fell in love with when I got an old 03-04 catalog. I love my Paint Prints, which I won as a door prize at my demo's open house. I never win anything. I got a bunch of retired stamps in a donation box from SU, which included Snow Angels and All Aboard. So I have quite a few retired sets that I think are SO worth hanging onto.

I love the hedgehog sets and just purchased the one I have been wanting: Halloween Hedgehogs. I also love my bamboo bg the retired one not the current one and Asian Art.
The ones I have that I won't part with (coveted by others, I guess) are Roughing It and Tractor Time. There aren't any retired sets I currently covet myself, although that's always subject to change!
One of my favorite retired sets is What's Brewing. I love coffee so this set is just fun. I have roughin it, paint prints and DD pinecones none of which I'd part with.
I think the one set I'd really like to find for a resonable price is the alphaheart numbers.

Most coveted: Crayon Kids Alphabet set
Most loved retired but haven't used it since it retired: Botannicals (what an awesome set with so many ways to use it)
Some retired sets I have that I will never get rid of are - Grapes, Simply Divine, Pansy, Going Somewhere, Teacup and pansies, Toy Box, and Hydrangea. I've gotten rid of quite a few of my old sets, but these ones I'm not going to part with. So, if you're looking for any of these, don't bother to ask me, 'cause you can't have 'em! ;)
Scouts at Play and Roughing It are my favorite retired sets. Am looking for the CTMH the set with "Do Your Best" and "On My Honor" in it. We're a scouting family and I do cards for boys as they make rank and invitations to Eagle ceremonies using what stamps I have. The CTMH set would fulfill my dreams.
