Default What is your favorite color to use with the wheel?

I am about to buy my first wheel stamp and cartridge. I didn't realize they only come in certain colors. What is your favorite color to use with the wheel?

Black if I want to color it. Otherwise, whatever works with the wheel!!

I use gold and silver a lot, but have trouble getting the un-inked cartridges to work well....

I LOVE wheels...so fun to wheel an envelope to match a card! Get a cartridge to match the wheel, definitely. If it's an all occasion wheel just pick your fave color, I couldn't live without my tempting turquoise cartridge =)

hum....I use uninked cartridges all the time...never any problem. I just saturate them with ink real well. My most frequently used cartridge is versamark. Sometimes I emboss the design...sometimes I just leave it plain...makes a nice background for a card.

When I'm just doing a card or an envelop, I don't use a cartridge...just run the wheel over the ink pad, then across the envelop...then reink it, and make the second run.

I LOVE my wheels!!!

I might be in the minority, but I just use the wheels on my inkpads. I don't like the fact that they're not offered in all the colors, and the price for the cartridges is way too high in my opinion. As long as you're using a standard size card, inking them on the pads works just fine - I've never had a problem. Hope that helps!

Buy a blank cartridge and a VersaMark refill. It takes A LOT of VersaMark to get it inked that first time, at least 1/4 bottle of refill, and you have to refresh it more often than a classic ink, but it's SO Versatile and will work with every color cardstock you have. I'd get that and probably a black or chocolate chip for when you want something very dark.

Not to mention... you can EMBOSS if you use the VersaMark!

I didn't invest in the cartridges either...you can just use the wheel on your ink pad. There is enough ink to last in getting over a regular sized card!!

Like others have mentioned, I just use the ink pads for wheeling on my cards. However, a couple of wheels I got so I could use them in scrapbooks, so I obviously needed a cartridge for those. I have the chocolate chip and real red cartridges, because those were the colors which I use most in scrapbooks and they matched the wheels I have.

I'm an inkpad person, too. I just ink up the roller and go. I'm thinking that you probably would need a cartridge if you were doing a scrapbook page, but I do only cards. One roll of the wheel is sufficient to cover whatever piece of cardstock I'm using.

I buy blank cartridges and use my reinkers so I can have them in any color, as long as I have a reinker.

I've unmounted all my wheels, so I just use ink pads.

I am collecting the cartridges as well since I love to wheel my Scrapbook backgrounds as well as wrapping paper. Inkpads will just not work for these big tasks. Inkpads are fine for all cards.
