I'm glad to hear about something other than christmas! Granted I only had a few very close friends and family to make cards for, the rest got premade. So let's see I know I want to make some pocket cards. They are adorable and I have yet to complete a single one.
I will be using January's release from Paper Pretties on my Valentine cards. Just waiting for my SU Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss cardstock & Bella Rose DP paper to come in.

not much..might make some valentines for the unit DH is deploying to in 2 weeks..he's Navy going to deploy with an Army Unit that is currently already over there.
I like the Scraplings concept. very cute idea. and Thrifty, too!
I'm not thinking about Christmas OR Valentine's Day. My parents' 50th wedding anniversary is January 3 and I'm planning a party for them. The party is in Arizona, and I'm in Iowa. :p And no, I won't be going.
I'm already getting into the Valentines day mood as I'm done with the Christmas stuff. Was just starting to pull out my Valentines day stuff to see what I have and what else I could possibly order soon! I just took a look at the scraplings mentioned above and those sure are cute. Might give that a try with some address labels. I will probably just make some cards and not sure what else quite yet......will have to keep my eyes open for new ideas! I'm sure I'll need some help coming up with some cute ideas for my sons kindergarten class.
Don't know about this year yet, but last year, I made these little candy airplanes (got the idea from Nichole Heady's blog) for the kids in DS's class. Instead of rockets, I used PEZ candies for the body and wrapped those up with labels stamped using Limitless Labels by PTI . I stamped right on the gum wrapper/wings with the small heart stamp from the same set. I packaged them up in little ziplocks and added a topper. The hardest part was convincing DS to write his name on all of them!

Still plenty of birthday, thank you and get wells going but when I get tired of these I go back to making Christmas ones for the next season. Never a lack of cards to make...lol

I have been looking around a little. I promised DD that we would do something awesome since we did not do Christmas gifts this year for her dance and school class. I am thinking maybe the pizza boxes with homemade chocolates, but I am not sold yet.
I am making 48 diecut door hangers and will decorate each one with diecut hearts and valentines stamped image and put them on the doors of the salon hair clientes at the assisted living where I work.......can't wait to use the new door hanger diecut I bought........I may even ribbon tie a tiny candy bar to each one..............yummmmmmmmmy
I have been asked to teach a valentine class at a local antique mall that offers fun classes to draw people into the store. So naturally I am thinking vintage valentines, maybe a couple of cards and a couple of paper cones to fill with candy. Anyone have any other vintage ideas?
Oyyiiieee..... I too am still in Christmas mode. must get busy on Christmas cards.... Tooo early for Valentine's Day. Even if there are cute ideas here!! Not looking!!! Stop it, I tell you!

My parents took off on a "surprise" trip, and let me at home with the "surprise party" I'd planned! You are lucky!
When my in-laws had their 50th, I made a scrapbook of their life, kids, etc., for display at the party. I have since added more pages to it. I used 8 1/2 x 11 paper so I could have it re-printed and bound by Express Print for all the children and grands.
Several years ago, SU came out with a set of stamps that included a "pear." One of my friends used two of them on the invitation and used "Happy Anniversary to a Golden Pear/Pair" as a theme. It turned out very pretty. Pears were in all the arrangements and on the serving tables. Some were plain. Some were "rubbed" with a little gold paint.
Have fun. They will love you for remembering them.
For my boyfriend...I took one of the K and Co. Christmas Countdown drawer boxes, and covered it with Basic Grey paper. Instead of using the numbers to countdown, I am adding fancy Brads, in the form of an X on the box...from corner to corner...and a note that says X marks the spot...and I am not sure WHAT is going into that center drawer yet, but he's going to love it...and I probably will tuck in some other things in the other drawers too...LOL.
