With Black Friday coming soon (some places have started early)....
What on your wishlist are you going to be targeting for?
I used to LIVE for Black Friday years ago. Did a huge amount of buying. These days, not so much as I have quite a lot now.
But...you know....there are always some items....LOL. So if the numbers make sense.
1) Several Queen and Co shaker sets. They are pricey so a discount is very much needed. But you do usually get like 4-6 shaker designs in a set so there is value. They also are often small so could be made into ornaments too.
2) Always have an eye out for supplies like Neenah paper, masking paper, stuff like that. Rolls of DS tape or foam.
3) I am hoping for even deeper discounts at Frantic Stamper....the year is winding down and I don't know Fran's close date yet.
What about you?

Sitting in my chair and looking around me, I can easily see I have no immediate needs. As for wants, I would not turn my nose up at a few more of my favorite Lavinia or Penny Black stamps. Gone are the days when Black Friday hypnotized me. Now, more than anything, I look forward to my traditional day of window shopping and having an extravagant meal with my best friend.

I enjoy *sales* and buy throughout the year...so not any real desires...yet. We moved a few years ago and I downsized a lot of my craft room and am more selective now. I do miss a few things I got rid of and wish I had now.

Just FYI-Del Bellos is closing too...and has some Lavinia on 50% sale.

I am going to make a list this week and if anything is on good sale, will buy. Targets to be researched will be: Waffle Flower, GinaK, Concord and 9th, Elizabeth Craft Designs and AlteNew.

I’m not expecting much this year, but I’ll be watching for deals on tech (maybe a new monitor or earbuds if the price is right), outdoor gear (camping stuff is always useful), and tools (a solid drill set if it’s discounted enough).

I've found a few new things in the last year, Lavinia stamps fantasy fairy stamps, Waffle flower postage collage & Taylored expressions create in quads stencils. TE just had a great week of sales so my plan this year is to avoid shopping for the most part & finally sit down with my new supplies and USE them. I will def check out TE for any sale she is having to add to my stash but other than that, i plan a day of crafting. In past years i've ordered a bunch of stuff on black Friday received it the 2nd week of december or later, Christmas is slammed & then don't get around to touching half the stuff I bought. This year i got a head start & will use Black Friday as my exploring my craft stash day.
Stampin’ Up! just announced a “first ever” Black Friday sale. It will be 40% off select products, November 25 to December 1.
What kind of products do you think people would most like to see marked down? For me, it would be the Bundles.
the sale will include:
40% off Stampin’ Blends (their non-refillable alcohol markers); their paper trimmer and blades, and ink bundles
25% off select adhesives
15% off select cardstock
Altenew has started their Black Friday sale today. They have free shipping with a $29 order in the US and special international rates. My daughter has been looking at their mini die cutting machine and it is at a great price, so we placed the order. It comes with several packs of glitter cardstock.
I wasn't going to shop at all (except for the SU! sale to replenish some basic supplies) but I just watched and WOW!!!! The washi tape and PET rolls she showed from The Washi Tape Shop are GORGEOUS! I had never seen a product like that before. The artwork is stunning. She said they are having a Black Friday sale now of 20% off and they offer free shipping at the $30 order mark, so I am getting a few rolls.
Not a craft item, but I’m going to a furniture store to get some bookshelves to get a big mess in my craft room organized. Hopefully on sale!

A bunch of sellers that I've been watching at Etsy are having Black Friday sales this week. So I'm indulging in three Bella Luna paper pads, a few cut apart sheets, and a lot of cool stickers. They will all be my Christmas presents from the Hubby.

my 18 year old Cub Cadet Riding lawn tractor caught on fire in Sept so I'm hoping for a new tractor. My contractor said he always sees them on Black Friday - I can't find any and asked him to find me one... so far, no reply from him ! In the summer they only ran around $2500. but the ones I've seen this week are closer to $3000 for the new models... ???

Where have you purchased your Neenah paper in the past? I got 10 sheets or so at SSS earlier this year to try but would love a better deal.
I am guilty of purchasing from GinaK yesterday when she announced her sale. I'd been eyeing up some of her inks and I really wanted the cranberry. The full size pads were gone so I only got the cubes. And by the time I clicked "purchase" and checked out, all the reinkers sold out, too. Cranberry cardstock was gone almost instantly. It's my first purchase from her store. I've been watching her videos all year and really enjoy her teaching style. While many of her stamps aren't my style, I picked up a couple of her stencils.
I have my eye on a few things from PinkFresh in the hopes that they'll have a sale. Along with Waffle Flower. Depending on the sales offered I may buy or not.
Ugh. Well. I was going to keep it cheap this year but I exceeded my budget. I was going to allow myself 3 Black Friday purchases, but I saw a couple other items. And Ugh. Dang shipping!!
But, I bought a couple things I am looking forward to.
1. I found 2 Color Cubes (I chose 3 & 4) from Honey Bee Stamps, and got them both for about $50 in all after discount, if I remember correctly.
2. I finally found the three obscure Magnolia Stamps I have been looking for for years. So Yay!
3. I restocked my cardstock, adhesives and bits & bobbles I'll need to put them together.
Not the most thrilling Black Friday ever, but I'm looking forward to playing with some new stuff

I saw those were gone immediately from the comments. I own a lot of her ink pads and cubes. I like them. I may even have older cranberry paper around from many years ago.
I have purchased Nina from Altenew during one of their free shipping specials with $29 spent. I like it okay. I colored on Gina K white when I learned alcohol markers,
I purchase my Neenah from Amazon 250 sheets at a time. It went from $24-28 up to $54 the last time I bought any. Quite the sticker shock. I do use it exclusively for white so what can you do?
Sorry guys, I bought a lot of SU lately and one from Concord & 9th, so am broke and won't buy anything more.
Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate.

I ordered from Whimsy Stamps and Hero Arts yesterday, and at Pinkfresh and Concord & 9th today. No big orders but I had some nice gift cards to spend. All of them had sales going on. I have some things in my cart at SSS too, deciding whether to wait for next month to order a few things there...

@whoistracey : I have yet to see a good Neenah sale so sorry-got nothing there yet but if I do, I will let you know!
I think it sounds great to craft as an alternative to shopping!
@Lutheran good luck on the shelving! It is so cool to get organized!
@Mac4551, good luck on the tractor! That is a serious buy and hopefully prices will break. I read all the time that Black Friday is not necessarily the "best" time and prices can go lower (as you saw) so hopefully they will if you can wait in the weeks to come or post Christmas sales...
Well now...I will need to march myself off to the The Washi Shop....even though those were sticker rolls and not washi as I think of it (and love it), I am also SO glad to see demos of using stickers as I am terrible at that. I also never heard of PET so I need to learn about that though it seems it is just on a clear plastic backing? Will learn! I LOVE to be introduced to new product/new companies even when it might not be something I would use myself.
As for me, having already done my shopping for all the family kids....I tell you, I love the Gap clearance section....I actually had what I can only call "a throw back year"...I pulled out my list of companies and just started popping in/out of them. I did not visit them all by far...but I did do a LOT more shopping than expected. I saw those Taylor quad stencils-new to me-and ordered 2. I love her postage system but still resisting. That is one very deep rabbit hole. I know why I did it, but I will be having to pay for it for awhile with shifting budgets.
Simon (clearance), Pretty Pink Posh, Queen and Co for a shaker in my wishlist, Spellbinders, Crackerbox (love her snark), LDRS for a folk art set, Stencilgirl (a lot of stencils this year), Del bellos for hugely discounted metal stencils, and Divinity for paper and bookmark stuff and a quilt die...I did a large order with Frantic as Fran has added another 15% on top of already discounted prices. I also was popping back and forth between her and other company sales to see if she has better close out prices.

I didn't buy anything craft-related during Black Friday. Instead, I bought a new set of tires for my car from WalMart. I paid about half of what I would have normally spent at a tire store, so I was pretty stoked!
So far, I have resisted the urge to shop. The only thing I have ordered was some ATG tape. It wasn't on sale, but I'm on my last roll. Glad to hear some of you are finding things you like, and that some of you are buying necessities. Hope everyone is keeping warm and staying well.

Could you let me know what you use/recommend for ATG tape?

I haven't bought any in a long time. The last I bought was two rolls of the Scotch brand. The ones I just ordered are on amazon, and I've never ordered those before. Years ago, I would order from Tape Jungle and another seller on Ebay, but I don't know if they are around anymore.
The ones I ordered were close to 14 for 6 rolls , but I don't have any idea if they are any good. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Maybe some of the others here will know more.
I bought my last two batches of ATG tape from a custom framing store on Etsy and was really happy with them. Unfortunately, when I went to look up their name so I could post it here, I discovered that they're no longer selling twelve roll boxes. So I guess I need suggestions too!

RockyBeta, I buy my cardstock from Marco's Paper, Cougar brand. I've used it for years and love the white & cream colors. You can get different weights too. And Marco's is a really great place to buy from. Great people.

I didn't buy anything craft-related during the Black Friday sales either. The sales started early here (New Zealand), so I took advantage of the discounts to stock up on printer ink and cat kibble (the latter being because I know my place, which is under the paw!).
On the day itself I bought the new Lego USS Enterprise. No Black Friday discount, but the 'freebies' with purchase were good on the day and were for that one day only.
I'm now working my way through a crafting Advent calendar. Not any of the craft company ones such as Spellbinders, but one put together by one of our local craft stores. So far it's been great fun, and I'm in no danger of seeing any spoiler unboxing videos.

The Neenah is getting expensive. Simon Says has the best price on small packages. Sometimes you can get a good price on Amazon. I have decided that I am saving it for copics and ink blending mostly. My second go to is Papertrey for their white. The price is reasonable and the weight is about the same as the Neenah. Just have to be careful if you are combining whites from different companies as they aren't the same color.

@Stampnnatter oooo...the original ship? I got some small flowers. I have not worked with them in over 55 years now so starting small.
It's the Enterprise D, which is the ship from Star Trek: The Next Generation, not the original 1960s series. Have you made your flowers? To me, when I was a child, Lego was an interesting toy. As an adult, it's a creative modelling medium. Also rather more expensive now that I have to pay for my own bricks
