Default What should I do with them???

I'm hoping you can give me some ideas for what to do with all these swap cards! I was supposed to go to a demo meeting yesterday, but couldn't make it there due to icy roads. So, now I've got 32 valentine swaps and no one to trade them with. I'm in the process of converting them to cards, and can use about half of them personally, but what about the rest?
Thanks in advance for your ideas,
Debbie

I am always up for sending them to the troops, but I am not sure they would get there in time. You could always go to a local retirement home & ask who has no family members that come to visit. I am sure they would enjoy them!!! You could also take them to your local hospital & distribute randomly, I am sure the nurses and/or paitents would love them too. I am not sure if you would be allowed to do that one though. Also, teachers/ administrators at your child (if you have one) school.

hmmmm
I am all out of ideas now

Good luck!

Won't she save your share of the swap cards? I mean, icy roads is a pretty good excuse!! She could take out your share of the swap cards and later on make sure everybody gets one of yours!
JMHO. I just wouldn't keep somebody out of a swap if they couldn't come due to icy roads.

If she is determined to 'ice' you out, then you could save them for future swaps, or you could give them out at other places. Nursing homes, churches, shelters, etc. HTH!!

I'd definately check to see if she would be willing to hold on to a swap set for you. I know I would. It will take very little effort for her to get your cards to everyone later on. JMHO

Unfortunately, the swapping is done convention style. Everyone just trades with each other. So, since I missed out on the meeting, I missed out on the trading. :(

I second the idea of a retirement home. My son's preschool class made valentines and then the teacher delivered them and took a photo of each person with the card they got. My son loved seeing someone smiling holding his card he had stamped and they people who received them loved it too!

There's the Valentine's for Vets program...you could give them to a VA Hospital. The moms group I'm in had the kids make valentine's last year for this program. I know they were very much appreciated! Contact your nearest VA hospital. (you can locate your nearest VA hospital on the net)

I am also "stuck" with a bunch of Valentine's Day cards. I had a hostess back out on me 24 hours before her party due to low attendance. She wanted a Valentine's Day theme. I like the idea of donating them to a nursing home or the VA hospital. Thanks for the suggestion.

Every year my Latchkey group makes Valentines for the local nursing home. They love to get cards at any time of the year.
