I love the new products coming out from Stampin' Up! I was never one that thought we had to start producing unmounted stamps- but they did! I have begun to use them and I like them!
I'm thrilled about this as well. I had decided a while ago that I wasn't going to order stamps from SU anymore because I just didn't have the room to store them. The unmounted is a great change!
I love, love, love their ink pads and their cardstock. Plus, I love my demo. She's the greatest.
I love the matching ink, papers and markers. I am not very creative or great with colors, so this helps me. I went my whole life thinking I could not do anything crafty until I discovered SU.
Actually, my favorite thing about SU isn't about the products so much (although I love just about everything, lol!) but its accessibility to everyone. As much as we like to think the online world is the end all and the be all, there are tons and tons of folks out there who have no access to stamping other than home party type plans like SU and CTMH. I love the fact that a person can have a demo come to their home, set up a hands-on demo for for them and their friends and offer to share their experience. Heck, even those who DO have local stamp stores don't get that kind of service from them!

Ohhhhh, thanks for this thread! I love the quality, I love our monthly workshops...just love the bonding and socializing, I love how many colors they have and how they match, I love everthing!

I like that the acrylic mount stamp sets are priced lower than the wood mount stamps........ but I've always LOVED the "matchy matchy-ness" of all their products and that they've kept up with the In Colors to keep everything looking "fresh"
My favorite thing is the coordinated product line. Buying ink and paper that match is huge for me, and the quality is solid. I also love my demo. She rocks!
I love the new punches - around the corner punches too! I've got my eye on a set or two in the new Saleabration Catty that goes into effect Jan 5th! I'll be putting my order then.
I think it is great that they have listened to those who have pleaded for the unmounted option for stamps. I am very excited about the new punch design too. There are alot of great things coming in the new mini and I can't wait to demo them! It's funny, I signed up to be a demo about 5 years ago more to get the discount because I loved the product. Now, not only do I still love the product, I have a great group of stampers in my club and I love the time I get to spend with all of them! I have been stamping with alot of these girls for longer than I have been a demo so they are my friends first and I have made so many new friends doing this. It has been a great opportunity for me personnally, since I am somewhat shy and a house mouse. This has helped me to be a bit more outgoing and I get out of the house and I am soing something that I love.(Plus I get to spend extra time with my DD who is my helper.) Thank you for starting this thread! It is a nice way to get back in touch with my hobby after the craziness of getting ready for Christmas!

I became a stamper through SU and I am eternally indebted to them for that. Since that time, I have branched out to othe companies. But I still love their products...paper, inks, and many of their stamps.

That is how I started stamping too. I still buy alot of SU(wouldn't be a demo if I didn't,lol), but there are alot of companies out there that I really like and purchase from too. I learned a long time ago that I can't expect one company or store to carry everything I want, no matter how much I like them.

I love the way the colors coordinate with each other (when using the color families). I love the cardstock and the designer papers. My favorite thing I know will be the unmounted stamps though. I can store my stamps in a much smaller space and all the sets will be at my fingertips instead of spread out over 3 closets (as they are now).
The new punches that are coming out will be exciting to see too. January 4th cannot come soon enough for me.
As another poster said, SU was my starting point, but then I too have branched out.

I love the color coordination including the DSP. It's sort of like one stop shopping for those of us without local stores to shop in. I love the idea of sets so I don't have to worry about the scale of the images.
The stamps won't be clear stamps. They will be Rubber with Cling foam attached.
And you will use a Acrylic Block to stamp with.
I have known this but I think they are confusing people by calling it a clear mount stamp. Anyway, I'm excited about the new lines coming out in the stamps AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dsp/color lines!

You know when everyone started talking about the new stamps Clear Mounts that what I thought too.
I love using Unmounted Rubber stamps with Cling foam. And I'm glad that they are offering a choice for us Buyers.
I wish that they would change the name from Clear mount to something else.
I like the fact that they are going to unmounted...I like the looks of the storage based on the glimpse that I saw. The cardstock is great...the quality is always awesome in all their products.
I know each company wants to have a unique product but I agree with Nancy on the name thing. It gets to confusing to have all the companies trying to come up with something different. Standardization when it comes to names of like products would be great! If it is even possible.
Thank you for this thread....every response to the other one is just what that original poster was after Thank you for something so POSITIVE!
There are many things to love about SU! My very favorite thing is the In-Colors. I am not that much in love with the current ones but I believe in the concept and I get excited every spring to see the new ones!
I love the fact that SU! going to offer an unmounted option! This is really fabulous news for lots of stampers. I love love love love love my Big Shot; I know that's not an SU!-exclusive item but I would not have bought one had I not seen the creations of my fellow demos, both in person and here on SCS.
I also love ribbon, buttons, brads, DSP, the basic 48, SS kits and so many other things. The only thing I don't love the the giant sucking sound of my $$ leaving my wallet!!! (Although that sound would be gone if I would hold a few more workshops, classes, etc.)
I love how so many things coordinate and match. I stamped for eight long years (1992-2000) before I ever even heard of SU and I was so happy to find red paper that went with red ink that went with a red marker that went with...well, you get the picture. I am still thrilled about this concept because before I knew about SU I spent a lot of time and money trying to find good matches.
I am also very happy that they offer reinkers for their inks. Most of the LSS stores in my area don't do this. I think they prefer that you purchase a new ink pad each time because they are much more expensive than a reinker.
I love how they offer core products that you can expect to be around for a good, long time so you can count on being able to restock. I also love how they offer the limited-time-only items and colors for freshness and that they are clear about them being limited. That way I know that if I love Baja Breeze I can load up and order a ton before it retires.
Most of all I love the quality I get for the price I pay for my stamps.

I could have written this. Even though my crafting dollars have been spread out more lately, I believe I will always use SU cardstock and DP, and I still love a lot of their stamps. And offering an unmounted option will be a great plus as far as I'm concerned.

I just took my preorder Occasions mini clear mount stamps for a test drive (when I really should be in bed) and I love them.
It is pretty tricky to get the labels on perfectly straight but then again I sometimes had issues when I first started assembling the wood blocks when I first started stamping.
Whatever issues people may have with SU I like them and in my short time as a customer (almost 4 years) and nearly 1 year as a demo they've really made a big effort to stay current in today's market. I do have to agree that they jewelry was a bit embarassing since I had to tell my friend/customer that it STILL wasn't available to sell since it STILL didn't meet their quality standards. Of course the flip side is that they are picky about quality and I appreciate that as a customer myself.
Thanks for the thread I think they've made lots of changes lately and nearly all have been for the better. Personally I can't wait for SAB since I'm getting myself a Big Shot and am excited for the opportunity to earn sets from the big catty.
I also like matchy matchy. Everytime I cave and buy a K & Company paper pad (which I love and they are very pretty) I'm bummed it doesn't match any of my SU cardstock so it usually just ends up collecting dust unless I purchased it for a specific project.
LOVE that the products coordinate -- I can barely get two of the standard colors from any one color family to go together -- can't imagine if I had to choose ink, ribbon, etc.
Also, I love the SU sets -- the way everything just "goes" together. And, of course, I love the unique ways SCS'ers use them.
I love the color families and the yearly in-colors, too. I love that things "match" and will always be grateful to have been introduced to SU circa 1997 (my, but time flies!).
I like the changes they've made and new products they've introduced, too.
Even though I've branched a little here and there, I still think of SU as my main stamping company.
Oh my I had no idea there were unmounted SU ones now too? But I am SUPER EXCITED about the digi download stamps they are offering. I have been using digi papers for a while now and really love the digi stamps too.
My favorite thing is the coordinated product line. Buying ink and paper that match is huge for me, and the quality is solid. I also love my demo. She rocks!
Frankly, it would be easier to list what I don't like - since I love everything they have! I am a big fan of their cardstock and their stamps and their colors - my DD talks in SU colors all the time, LOL! Always thought their embossing powder was better than any other brand I had used as well.
((Nancy)) I don't believe I've ever told you that you are my favorite Angel... I love, love, love the fact that you are always positive and uplifting in your posts regardless of the topic. You rock my world, lol...
