What do you think are the chances that HOPE IS could end up in next year's catalog???
I saw a great project that a friend made with a cork board and the hope is set. I want the set really bad....but as a demo, I don't want to buy it if I can't demo with it for very long. (I just became a demo this month...and my first event is not until Nov).
Just wondered if it could end up in the catalog next year...
I would buy it and enjoy it. If it doesn't show up in the catalog next summer and you are done with it, you could sell it. I bet you would get most of your money back on it. At least this is always my thinking when I am justifying (sp?) something I really, really want. Ann
For some reason, I doubt it will be in there. Especially if they are going to do it each year. Kinda like the Ronald McDonald. That is how they try to encourage sales by limiting the time they are available. But then again, I really don't know what I'm talking about so it could be there afterall!
My guess is that they'll do the same thing as the RMHC one - make a new one next October.

I think that your thought pattern as a demo of not getting stuff you can't demo for sales later is right on track... that being said. you do need to buy what you love and need to have...
Sometimes I'm happy if I'm using something retired that has a good equivalent for my customers to buy. Sometimes I think if its retired and I only sort of like it , if I demo with it and someone loves it, I can give them a good deal on it and buy myself something new!
In the case of Hope Is... , this is a special set that represents the company so positively. I plan to use mine through the year to remind people of Breast Cancer, speak positively of the good things the company is doing and to promote the possibility of next year's set all year long for them to watch for it and support a great cause.
Besides it is an absolutely beautiful set and super versatile.
Just my rambling thoughts on it,
Lala
I'd vote slim to none...
I think SU will come up with a new set next year, if they decide to support breast cancer with another fundraiser. As someone else said, similar to the RMcD house sets.
Having said that, I think you have a couple of options:
I'm trying hard not to buy sets I can't demo beyond a limited period. If I get a mini catalog set, it's because I love it and/or think it'll be in the next catalog.
