I was just going to suggest that.
Heat a portion of the foam until it is good and warm with your heat gun, then immediately stamp a deeply etched red rubber stamp into it. Let set for a moment to cool, then remove the stamp and trim around the image. You now have a fun embellishment to work with
My kids got me a Scor-pal and mat. In-laws got me a desk light for the craft room, and I also got Michaels and Hobby Lobby gift cards. I must have been good this year!
My fabo hubby got me a 1 hour hot stones massage and a membership for a massage monthly for a year. It isnt stamping but wowwieee..I cant wait to go...My two sisters are both stampers too and although I got them both at least 4 sets of JustriteStampers, I got clothing from one and a set of hot teas from Tastefully Simple from the other. The only thing I can think of is they both think I already have everything. Sometimes I think I do already have everything. All year long I buy what I want so there is nothing on my wishlist most of the time. I just purchased my last 4 sets of nesties a couple weeks ago and now have them all. There truly is nothing I need..except to purge my room to make room for more stuff I dont need...Yikes..endless circle.
Blessings.
Do the after Christmas specials count? The Janome Sew Mini was on sale at Hancock Fabrics, so I picked up one of those . Ever since reading Gina K's blog tutorials on the Sew Mini, I've wanted one. It's a good way to sew on cardstock without messing up my main Bernina.
I didn't really get any crafting gifts, but I did get a laptop computer (that I send DH the day after Thanksgiving for) so now I finally can keep up with my blog and that helps me get stamping and it is way easier to keep up with blog challenges and so on. It is wonderful to have the computer right there where I need it when I need it.
DH and I have decided a few years ago to buy just for the kids, so that is pretty much what we have been doing. I know, not much fun, but I just buy what I want or need for myself and he does the same thing for him.
I got a cricut cart, 2 hobby lobby gc from dad and sil. WHO HO! I already spent them on 66% off christmas stuff and 50 % papers and stamps. Figured it didn't count towards the "no new paper" since techincally it wasn't my money. Or am I just fooling myself.
DH got a new used motorcycle (used bike but new to him) for Christmas so I kinda figure that'll go a long way to su sell-a-bration.;) ;)
Ok funny craft gift story--I had the Janome Sew Mini at the top of my list, so my parentals got it for me. We come home to have Christmas with my in-laws and my SIL says that the gift from her dad was interesting this year. Turns out my FIL figured if I wanted a Janome, certainly his two daughters would want one, too!!! So yes there are now three extra Janomes around the house--anyone interested in one?!?!
At least I got the correct item. All three boys got a drill set since one of them asked for it. However, it was the wrong drill set so nobody was happy! Gotta love men trying to shop.

I had a stinky experience with the amazon wishlist--after spending a night of putting stuff on there, 3/4 of the photos did not show up! Try wishlist.com, it works sooooo much better!
This is my first year that my DH got me something crafty! I received two stamp sets from WM and he got me 3 sets of nesties. Before Christmas he got me a CB with dies and said that was my Christmas.I received a paper pack, glitter, and a punch. I must have been good this year!
ditto, here! arggggg!!! Hubby got me a cashmere sweater...yes, I should be thankful...it's soooooo soft & cuddly. BUT, we live in sunny all-year round Hawaii! And the worse part is, he showed me his back-up gift (in case Banana Republic doesn't have the right color/size) was a wooden craft desk with all these built-in 12x12 drawers that he took a pix at Home Depot with his phone!!! soooooo close! I really wish BR had ran out of my size for once. oh well, there's always my B-day.
I got two SU! sets (A Rose is a Rose and From the Kitchen Of...), some jars of Prima flowers, and a bag full of assorted ribbon. Yep! It was a great year.

My DH got me some stamping stuff which I will return since I already have most of it AND he bought me a 2 carat diamond ring which I will NOT be returning! Lucky me!

Whoa, that rocks, pun intended! ;)
