I have decided to unmount my background stamps. I love them, but the blocks take up so much space. I want to put them on EZmount so that I only need to keep one block out, as it will adhere to the vinyl image on the one side of the block. What would you advise me to do to unmount my stamps, both from the wood and the existing cusion? Any advice would be great, thanks in advance.
If you go to EZ mount, then you would peel off both the cushion and the block. That would be my personal choice.
I read recently here that a gal went to graffix (A vinyl cling type sheet) that I guess you would stick to the sticky cushion, but she said that it was hit or miss if it would "cling" during the whole stamping session...
Before you start removing rubber I would suggest that you stamp or brayer an image of your stamp on computer paper so that you can put that particular stamp there ... one copy could be for your catalogue and one for replacing your stamps where you store them. It'll make it easier to keep track of....(that's my theory anyways!;) )
I put my background stamps on EZ Mount. To use, I slap the stamp on a glass mat. The stamp DOES NOT move!! The glass mat doesn't move on formica tabletop cause it has the *rubberish* feet. I ink the stamp then place my CS on top and press all over the CS. This gives me a great image!! No more missed areas due to less ink or less pressure. I don't have to contend with the height of the wood block either!! I learned this from these wonderful SCS ladies!!! HTH, Sandi

I also stamp my cardstock like this except I use my brayer. I lay my cardstock over the inked backround stamp and then run my brayer over it. It gives a nice uniform stamped impression.
