Went to a flea market today!!!!

I scored big and bought a BIG box FULL of old ribbon (the rickrack is to die for, wide---skinny, etc), fasteners, buttons, etc for only $10!!! Whooo hooooo!!!! I just got done sifting through it and there are some fabulous ribbons in there, and some really fun buttons. I also bought a really OLD tape measure that looks so old and antique it will look perfect on an altered journal! So much funnnnnnn!!! On the way home from the flea market, we stopped at a garage sale, and there I found a shoe box filled with MORE ribbon for only $1. I'm giddy with excitement if you can't already tell:mrgreen: !!!!! I don't know which ribbon to use first, it's so overwhelming......I won't have to buy any ribbon for months!!!

Fabulous find! I love going to flea markets, and I have a humungous canvas bag filled with thousands of old buttons of all colors and sizes that I purchased at an estate sale. I lucked out and the bag contained a very old set of hooks that were used for the old fashioned laced up shoes. Don't overlook the junk stuff that is sometimes free at rummage sales. I take old jeans and cut off the pockets for some craft projects, and I'll purchase anything with silk flowers that is a reasonable price and literally pick it apart for anything I can use to embellish cards and scrapbook pages.
