Awhile back Momil5000 posted a thread asking for anyone interested to send me a card, preferably blush blossom, to help me celebrate my birthday. Of course I knew nothing about Mona's scheme so it was a surprise to get 2 cards from total strangers one day, 7 the next, etc. Mona is constantly talking about how talented you gals on SCS are and I have the beautiful cards to prove it. It was so much fun to go to the mailbox and check each day to see how many different ways you could bombard me with blush blossom. All who participated made my birthday very special and I hope someday you have something fun in your mailbox besides bills.
I believe one of your fellow stampers is going to post the cards in a gallery soon. I have recently finished a master's degree via computer so please don't be offended that you may be sending me a message and I don't respond. After spending 100's of hours on the computer to complete the requirements of the degree, working full time, and raising an 11 year old I avoid the computer at all costs. I'd rather be stamping. Mona makes sure that I get the latest scoop from the SCS site and my daughter is very interested. Mona and Chloe signed me up and are trying to get me into SCS.
Thank you so much and your cards were beautiful, even if they were blush blossom!!
You're very welcome, Wendy, and I am glad you enjoyed your cards! Now, I know Mona mentioned in the last post that her birthday was Aug 28th, so are we going to get to bombard her with cards, as well???

WENDY!! So glad you're finally on!!! Thanks for letting me come over and see all your gorgeous cards! I just posted on the "Can You Believe It" thread about mamakimberly's card!!! I think bombarding Mona is a great idea!!! What goes around comes around!!! :o)
As I stated in the other thread, I was so honored to receive the Thank You card from you. Wow, I had no idea you have had so much going on! Congrats on getting your Masters! My daughter received hers a year and a half ago & I know how hard it was for her and she doesn't have any kids! That is just an awesome accomplishment!
Happy 50th & congrats on getting your Masters!! I passed into the youth of 'old age' a few years back & it wasn't painful & actually very funny. You see - I celebrated twice - once @ 49 & again @ 50 - something my family stills giggles about. All of you will appreciate this - for a still unexplained reason, I was thinking my upcoming b'day was my 50th & no one argued with me. It wasn't until several months later I was making a note of my 'little' brothers upcoming b'day (he's 1 year younger) that a strange thought went thru my addled, stressed brain... hhmmm, he's going to be 49 - no wait, am I sure? hmmm (more thinking), he was born in '53 (?). I called my dh & asked him "Sweetie, how old am I?" There was a second or two of total silence & then he answered "I have no idea!" Good man - right answer! I said, "No, this isn't a 'what's the right answer question', this is a real question." To which he answered, "well, we just celebrated your 50th". Ok - but you're 4 years older than I am -- how old are you?" Ans: 53 - hey wait! you're only 49!! We both cracked up & I was still giggling when I hung up the phone. The guy in the cube next to me was quite worried & asked if I was OK but I could tell he had heard my side of the conversation and was stifling a giggle. The next year my in-laws asked me mom's verification of my b'day before they would do it again... Naturally this story gets funnier every time it is told but is worth a good laugh (with the giggles & tears of funny to go with it). The moral of this story - you don't have to be 50 to be..... hmmm, what was I saying........... oh yes, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
