Default Watercoloring

I tried watercoloring last night and ended up with the inside of the card damp and color seeping through! What am I doing wrong? Is there a special cardstock I should be using? Too much water? HELP! I love this look but can't seem to figure it out. Your help is appreciated. Kay-Kay

I always check to make sure that my brush isn't too wet so that it will soak through. You don't need a lot of water. I keep a piece of scrap paper by when I am watercoloring to test to see if it is too wet and if so I just get it all off on there before I watercolor on my cardstock!

The scrap pc of paper really helps for testing color and water qty. Have a paper towel close by to mop up the extra water. It doesn't take much.

The paper really makes a difference, too. What are you using? I have way better results when I'm using, say, the confetti card stock rather than the white or vanilla smooth papers....
