Default Watercolor Crayons

Wondering if anyone is having trouble with the case for the watercolor crayons (not being sturdy). Has anyone switched them from their original case to something more sturdy. If so, what did you move them too. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

The case seemed too easily popped open, so I just clamp it shut with a large binder clip. Keeps it shut and keeps case sturdier. HTH

Mine broke. One of the hinges doesn't close properly. I'm keeping them in the box however.

The case seems a little wobbly, but not something I worry about. I'd rather have them nice and neat in their own little slots, than risk transferring one color onto another by putting them in something else and having them rub against each other. The case also ensures that I can find the color I want quickly. The lid stays closed, but when I pack it for a workshop or camp I usually just put a large rubberband around it so that it doesn't accidentally come open.

My original WWC tin got bent in shipping. It was in the bottom of the box under a dozen packs of cardstock, 5 tag punch boxes and I can't remember how many stamp sets. The warp was just enough that the lid wouldn't seat properly and the corners would pop open. It was very flimsy. My demo contacted SU! and they replaced the tin. It's amazing how much different it feels. I still handle with care, but the tin does stay securely closed until I purposely open it.

I haven't come up with anything better to hold them yet.

I think the long flat tin is a poor design. A deeper tin with 2 layers of crayons would be much more sturdy.

I will try both the rubberband idea and the binder clip. I agree SU! needs to redesign the case. Thanks for the suggestions.

go to the hardware store and buy ONE of those peel and stick floor tiles. cut it to fit the bottom perfectly and stick it to the bottom. It will make it more rigid. the binder clip, or rubber band sounds good to keep it closed.
