I think they are sooo cute, but am wondering what they are 'used' for. Do folks really use them as clipboards or are they decorations?

I'm planning to make flat ones for DD's teacher for Christmas. I really liked the instructions on the home page and the examples. I think the embellished ones are really cute but I want the teachers to actually be able to use them. I will tie the ribbon and stuff on the opening of the clip part but that is as far as I will go with lumpy embellishments. I'm co-leader for DD's Jr. Girl Scout troop so I might even make one just for me to keep. Isn't that a novel idea to make something for yourself. LOL. Might even help the girls do one for a craft project and then they can use if for school.
