So I just bought a new house (okay, it was a year ago, but it's still new!) and I am slowly going from room to room decorating various and sundry things. I want to use the DD stamps from Stampin Up! to add some depth to my painted walls. The problem? My walls are slightly textured and I am having a horrific time getting the image to come out clean. Specifically I am using Bold Butterfly and Gladsome Garden. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to use these stamps with the textured walls? Thanks for your time!
The only think I can think of is getting blank border paper and stamp on that then put it up.

I heard that if you stamp your walls before you mount the rubber image onto the wood block, you get a much better image on the textured walls. I guess because the rubber can 'give' a little whereas it can't when there is a wooden block behind it...
That doesn't help you much since your stamps are already mounted. I don't know if you'd want to take the rubber off, stamp your walls and then remount your rubber using crystal effects.
Maybe someone else has a better idea? Sorry I can't be of more help.
I've done some areas of my walls stamping on clear contact paper, then sticking it to the walls. You can tell it's contact paper if it is right at eye level, but works great for a border around the top of the wall.
I helped a neighbor with her walls that had a bit of texture to them. We had small artist brushes handy and filled in where necessary. We were using the DD pines along with the pines set. We did filling on the moose, bear and trees.
What a great idea to use clear contact paper. Especially if you're like me and mess up; just thow it away until you get it right! Gee, maybe I'll do some wall stamping too. I've been wanting to but have been nervous about screwing up the walls...
