Ok, I have only used the "cling" type stamps with the acrylic blocks and SU stamps. On the cover of the Stamp & Scrap magazine, there is a butterfly picture I HAVE TO MAKE!! Anyway, I found a set of three butterfly stamps, all the same just different sizes. I planned to use them to make this picture, but the came in the mail today and all they are is the rubber part of the "stamp". No cushion, or anything. What do I have to do to use them? I guess I would cut around the image, but does it have to be mounted on the foam or can I just use a re-positionable adhesive with an acrylic block?
For my unmounted stamps without cushioning, I put a thin layer of Tack It Over & Over glue on the stamp & let it dry before using the stamp. I lay my cs on top of a mousepad & stamp the image.

This is the way I use my non-mounted stamps. I have cling, SU, and bare rubber stamps.
When I've been in a hurry to try something out, I've just used double-sided tape or a kids glue-stick (Pritt is the brand here). I like to save up my EZ-mount work till I have quite a few stamps to do.

I use creative cling on most of mine, but if I have to use bare rubber I use double sided tape. I personally stamp clearer images with some sort of backing on my stamp, I have a tendency to slide...sigh

Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!
I prefer EZ Mount, but I often get lazy, and add a few small strips of Dotto the stamp and stick it to a acrylic block that's dedicated to this purpose. They make for very little storage room!
I am an Ezy Mount girl....You know it comes in a nice thin black now...well thinner than the grey anyway...
I find that rubber likes the little bit of cushion...to replicate a good wood mounted stamp I guess....My images are always a lot better than just chucking tape on the back....(which I have done in the past when in a hurry!)
I use Tack & Peel on a clear acrylic block. I also use this for my SU stamps that still has the paper backing on them.
This is what I do too, tho my stamps are bare nekkid rubba.. And I use the good ol foamy mouse pad under the paper. Somewhere in my readings I read someone say they have used the cheapy fun foam pieces from a craft store under the paper.
I use Tack it Over and Over on most of mine... new ones, if I'm impatient, get used with double sided tape until I feel like putting the glue on them.
Wed. was my 1st time w/ unmountedstamps. What do U put them on to store them once the TIT over is on ? Boy is it sticky once it gets on UR hands:o A thin coat, it comes out fast:eek:
Do U pull off the d/sided tape or do U have special a. blocks for them. I have alot of cling stamps. I have 4 sizes of blocks.
I want to try these 2 methods 1st before I buy the expensive mounts. I just stamped on my card table w/no problems.

i just use double sided tape on a acrylic block for unmounted stamps when i'm done I just clean the block with soap and water and dry with a clean cloth . the tape is sticky but does come off if you want it to. and i don't have to dedicate a block to any specific stamp. oh i also store my unmounted in old cd cases to save space

I use a scrap piece of paper to spread the TIO super thin, then let it dry overnight. I store my sticky rubber stamps on overhead transparency sheets and slide those into page protectors and keep them in a binder. Another option for storage is CD cases.
I agree with the last poster, the tape does come off with a bit of rubbing.
