Default TAC Spring Supplement

Has anyone seen the new spring supplement? I am soooo loving it! They have these adorable candy tins that have a folding album inside for only $3. Also a chipboard album with 10 pages 5.5 x 4.75 for only $3.50 too!

I am so in love with this gardening set with a lady that looks so realistically like one of us in her body type! Its called Old Friend.

My one question is do a lot of these sets look exactly like some Stampin up sets or is it just me?

I think that's just the nature of the beast...there are some sets that look similiar, but there's always a slight difference. Themes tend to run the same across all stamp companies. Look at all the flourish stamp sets out there! It has happened the other way around too!

I think themes/categories get recycled and revamped too after a few years. We had a different gardening gal 4 years ago...and on our demo loop someone mentioned she hopes we have flamingos in the new catty because she loves them. We had a set that retired 2 years ago!

I have heard that artisits are allowed to sell their designs to different stamp companies as long as there are slight differences. And, since it's more money for them - they probably do!

But I'm glad you liked the supplement as a whole! That new paper pack is pretty awesome IRL!!

I have to agree with Chris. I've been stamping for about 10 years now and find that alot of images from alot of companies are similar. These companies know what is hot and try to please their customers. Unless a company has a exclusive designer ( Ie Mabelle for TAC) we will se some simalirities in images. The thing I like about this is there may be an image in a set that I like alittle better than one of the same type. I am not a stamp purist I am a stamp addict. I like them in all shapes sizes makes models and companies. I just love to stamp for the pure joy. And of course making a little money on the side doesn't hurt. What's your favorite set in the supplement? Mine is swirly gigs.;) I can't wait to see all the new cattys this summer!!! More idea's !!!!!!

I have to agree, I love Swirly Gigs! The rest I could probably live without, but I love that one, as I have two girls and it just strikes me as quite girly! I'm interested to see the two catties a year switch too. I just hope they can print an index in the back, as I'm soooo sick of constantly searching for sets!!

Yes I have seen the New Spring Supplement and I also own that cute old Lady Gardening stamp..Called "Old Friend"
I want to get the Chipboard book. But that will be next month. When the New Spring Fling stamp sets are available too.
Here is example of the Stamp set. "old Friend"

I have two other examples in my gallery if you care to check them out!!
As for the stamps looking like SU...I have to agree with Shawn. On this one.

And now there is a bigger slection of Stamps to choose from these days..Whether it be TAC, SU, CTMH, and all the other companies not mentioned above.

I recently got a chance to see my first TAC catalog in real life (thanks Chris!) and I was really impressed with the wide variety of images - truly something for everyone in every style imagineable. I loved it - sometimes I think SU is too limited (and I am an SU demo, so I get to say that!) too many flower sets, not enough manly sets etc. There were some sets that looked like SU, but really how many different ways can you draw a tent, a pair of flip flops, a golfer - see where I am going with this?
