Default Tall, rectangular sentiment stamps

I'm getting cards ready for some ladies from church to make, and a friend loaned me some scripture stamps. I have one that's tall and narrow (4.5" x 1.5"), and I'm having trouble incorporating it on to a card. It's old (1997), and and google searches yield nothing.

I'd love to find some sample cards with that shape/size sentiment, but I'm not having any luck. If you know of one, would you post it here?

Everything I try looks unbalanced, just ... off, somehow.

Thanks,

The Noteblock stamps from Purple Onion Designs are 2" x 5", so they are a bit larger than the one that you're using, but I would think that layouts for them would be similar. There's a gallery HERE (the pictures are clickable), to give you some ideas...

Thank you! Some of those will definitely help me come up with something.

Another idea: Our Daily Bread Designs has beautiful scripture stamps, and some of them are the same tall-and-narrow as the one that you're wanting to use. I went to THIS PAGE of their website. If you click on a stamp set, there are beautiful samples made by the design team that are sure to give you A LOT of help with your designs...

Maybe this search of samples for SU "Along the Same Lines" would help? https://www.google.com/search?tbm=is...77%3B104%3B120

I have this stamp set mentioned, and they are bookmark sized - so I make a bookmark, then affix it to the card base with repositionanble adhesive.
Hope that helps.

When I read your post, I immediately thought of something I'd done long ago ... and I thought it was a "tall" scripture. Well ... I found it ... but it wasn't a scripture stamp after all. Still, over-stamping might be a workable idea to consider. ;)

poppydarling was on the right track - here's the gallery for Along the Same Lines: Stampin Up! Gallery: Along the Same Lines (hostess) - Page 1 - Cards & More - Splitcoaststampers

Nice and Narrow: Stampin Up! Gallery: Nice & Narrow - Page 1 - Cards & More - Splitcoaststampers

and Oh, So Lovely: Stampin Up! Gallery: Oh, So Lovely (hostess) - Page 1 - Cards & More - Splitcoaststampers

They are all skinny and tall, so the layouts should work well with your stamps, too... Good call, poppydarling!
